Chapter 25

Brenna's POV

Today's the big day. PAX starts tomorrow and Will and I are going to be in Boston tonight. We have to be at the airport at 3:00 PM which means we still have to go to school. I already packed my bags since we won't have much time after school. The airport is really far away so my mom is driving us. I am currently wearing a sweater and jeans because it's cold AF in Boston and I won't have time to change. The high in Boston is only 26 and the high here is 85. That's wonderful. I'm currently waiting on Will to finish getting ready so we can go to school. He's so slow.

"Hurry up!" I yell.

"Coming" He yells back. My parents always complain about us being loud in the mornings but I don't really care. Will comes down wearing shorts and a tee shirt.

"What're you wearing?" I ask.

"What do you mean?" He asks looking confused.

"We're not going to have time to change after school" I say.

"Shoot" He says and runs back upstairs. Now we're going to be late for school. If he takes too long I'm just leaving.

Two minutes later he comes down dressed for cold weather.

"Let's go" I say. We walk outside and I'm already burning up. It's only a ten minute walk I think I can handle it. I just need to get through this school day and then I'll be in Boston. I'm not going to be able to focus at all today because I'll be thinking about PAX. We get to the busy street but today it is busier than usual. We're already running late and we need to wait for the cars to pass. I guess I can be late one time. Oh wait, I'm going to miss five days of school so this is not a good time to be late. I really don't care though. Finally there are no cars and we are able to cross the street. We continue walking to school. We get to school on time. I sigh and walk in. This is going to be a long day.

Finally its lunch time, which means that half the day is already over. I try to find Will in the crowd of students trying to get into the cafeteria. I don't see him so I just go sit down. After five minutes, he comes and sits next to me.

"We just have to make it through the rest of the day" I say.

"Don't remind me" he says. I open my lunchbox and pull out a bag of potato chips. I pop the bag to open it and it makes a much louder noise than I expected. The whole cafeteria goes silent and all eyes are on me. I give everyone a death look and I start eating my chips slowly for effect.

"Nice" Will says "now give me some."

"No" I say.

"Pleeeaaaase" he says.

"Fine" I say. I find the smallest chip in the bag and give it to him.

"Seriously" he says. I laugh and give him the whole bag.

I tap my foot to the second hand on the clock. Only two more minutes left of my last class. I look back at Will and we exchange excited glances. I look back at the clock and see there's now only one minute left. Our teacher dismisses us early and I almost scream from excitement.

"Finally" I say to Will as we walk out the door.

"Yeah" he says.

"By the way my mom is picking us up today" I say.

"Why?" He asks.

"Because we don't have much time to get to the airport" I say.

"Oh, but are we going by your house?" He asks.
