'Attention passengers, we'll be arriving in Beach City in five minutes'
(Y/N) rubbed his eyes as the PA system aboard the train woke him up. It was a long train ride, but it was better than an economy class airplane. He'd rather gaze across the moving landscape in the comfy seat he was sitting in. (Y/N)'s eyes glazed across the beautiful coastal town that is Beach City. He had heard about this place from a blog called Keep Beach City Weird. The website contained a number of strange and maybe ridiculous theories about the place. Honestly, the only thing (Y/N) found strange, was that such a small town was registered as a city. But he was still willing to go if that someone could help him with a strange phenomenon he had. (Y/N) was planning on asking the guy who wrote the blog. That is if he could find him.
...A few minutes later...
(Y/N) had just gotten off the train and began looking around. Everything seemed normal, (Y/N) at least expected something to be out of place. But from what he saw everything was normal. "Maybe I should've stayed home," said (Y/N), quickly regretting his own choice of words "No, that's stupid, why would I go back?" He then felt a slight ache in his stomach, as he hadn't eaten since breakfast. (Y/N) pulled out his wallet to see if he had any money for food. He had, at most, $1,000. (Y/N) knew that he had the money for food, but wasn't so sure about housing. "Oh well" (Y/N) said to himself "I'll cross that bridge when I get there"
(Y/N) began to look for a restaurant to eat at. He made his way closer towards the towns namesake, and eventually found himself on a boardwalk overlooking the ocean. (Y/N) looked too his left and spotted a french fry-themed restaurant. He walked towards the restaurant and knocked on the open counter. "Hello?"
A small boy with blonde curly hair popped up to the counter "No need to knock" he said "How can I help you?"
(Y/N) looked at the menu and ordered a large fry. The boy nodded ran over to a grease vat as he began to pour potato slices into it. It was clear to (Y/N) that the boy knew what he was doing. This kid had obviously been working here for a long time "How does a kid like you work here?" (Y/N) asked. "Aren't you underaged?"
"This is my dad's restaurant," says the boy "Me and my brother help him run it"
"That seems like a pretty sweet deal" (Y/N) replied "I never got to help out my parents when I was younger"
"It has its ups and downs," said the boy, as he put (Y/N)'s order into a bag. The boy handed (Y/N)'s order to him. As he ate, the boy asked (Y/N) his own question. "You're not from around here, are you?"
"Nope," (Y/N) said while chewing on a fry. "How did you know?"
"We don't exactly have a lot to offer in regards to tourism," Said the boy "So what brings you here"
(Y/N) pulls out his phone and shows him the Keep Beach City Weird blog. The boy cracked a huge smile and told (Y/N) that it was his brother's blog. "No kidding, really?"
"Yeah," said the boy before he turned towards a door at the back of the restaurant "Yo Renaldo"
A teenager with blond curly hair and glasses walked through the back door. It was pretty obvious that the boy and the teen were brothers. "What's up little bro?" asked Renaldo.
"This dude came here because of your blog," shouted the kid with enthusiasm "Isn't that cool?"
Renaldo sprinted to the counter and began berating (Y/N) with questions. Mostly about why he came to Beach City. Eventually (Y/N) was a little irritated that the guy who made the blog was just some conspiracy theorist. (Y/N) put his finger up to silence Renaldo "I just want to know if you can help me with this weird quirk I have"
