Upon being born into the world, most children are told to follow their dreams and become whatever they want. Well, what happens when before you're even born, everything is decided for you? Michael Mooney knows the answer. His parents mapped out an entire future for their son, so they could live off of his wealth. For the longest time, they drove Michael to be the greatest in everything and to get there at any cost. Academics, sports, social standings, they expected him to be the perfect child. However, while his parents focused on his success, they never guessed how Michael got there. He cheated, bribed, and blackmailed his way through life to get just what he wanted, victory. Eventually, doing the same thing to his parents that he did to others, leaving them with nothing. Mooney only sought one thing in his life, victory at any cost. He would win, even if it meant working under others.

(Y/N) groaned as he woke up, his surroundings slowly coming into focus. He was no longer underneath the boardwalk but was now sitting up against a tree in an unknown forest. (Y/N) heard waves crashing nearby, so he couldn't be far from Beach City. He tried to get up only to feel the chaffing burn of ropes tied around his chest, wrists, and feet. He doubt he'd get far anyway, he was still too groggy to focus that much. "Someone's been watching too many movies," said (Y/N), sarcastically to himself dully. Just as he spoke he heard another groan. It was Joseph, tied on the opposite side of the tree. "Joseph is that you?" (Y/N) asked weakly, "Are you okay?" Yet another groan. Things weren't looking too well for either of them. Joseph wasn't even fully conscious, both of them were tied to a tree and probably drugged as well. It was most likely dawn as early morning sunlight broke through the trees illuminating the area.

"Well, I see you're up now," said a familiar voice coming from the foliage. (Y/N)'s eyes widened as an armed Mooney emerged from behind a nearby tree. The man carried a slick 9mm in his right hand, and although he didn't look it, he probably knew how to use it.

"Don't bother trying to manifest your stand," Mooney said calmly, pulling back the hammer of the weapon. "I was smart enough to inject you and your brother with enough benzodiazepine to keep you both out of it for hours. So even if you did wake up, you'll barely have any idea what's going on"

"Screw you," said (Y/N). He tried to call his stand out but to no avail. He was too groggy and didn't have the energy for it.

"Try all you want," mocked Mooney "You barely have the energy to keep your eyelids open, let alone summon your stand"

As much as (Y/N) hated to admit it, Mooney was right. He was completely defenseless, and at the mercy of this demented real estate agent. (Y/N) was as good as dead. None of this would've happened if he just heeded Miracle Rock's warning. Then it hit him, why did they warn him? He hadn't even done anything to them. Was it because they see him as a threat? They gave away their very existence by having Kaylee give him the note. So why? "Why did you have Kaylee give me the note?" (Y/N) asked.

Mooney pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. "It's because those damn kids insisted on it. We told them not to do it, but you've seen how impulsive they are. They ignored our advice and gave you that note," Mooney ranted. "It was supposed to be a trap meant to kill you, but we all know how that worked out? They quit the organization, and because Kaylee goes to school, we can't kill her or her family without starting an investigation that could expose us. Not even Angellina could touch them"

"Well that's some loophole," said (Y/N) "You guys aren't the brightest organized crime syndicate are you?"

Mooney pointed the gun at (Y/N)'s head "You're forgetting that one of us has a loaded gun"
