It had been a few days since (Y/N) had been discharged from the hospital. While he was there, he couldn't use his shoulder. Apparently, the wound itself wasn't that serious and didn't require stitches. However, several veins in the shoulder had been cut and needed time to heal. So (Y/N) stayed at the hospital with his shoulder elevated, and he was not allowed to move it so he wouldn't disturb the healing process. It was annoying, but the gems, Steven, Greg, and Connie came to see him, which made it bearable. However, Pearl would stay with (Y/N) the longest. (Y/N) got to know Pearl pretty well during that time, like her perfectionist habits, interests in music, and even her collection of various weapons. One thing struck (Y/N) as odd though. Pearl seemed a lot different than when he first met her. She looked a lot more beautiful and stunning. (Y/N) loved being around Pearl more than anyone else, but he had no idea why.
"Hello?"
(Y/N) was quickly reminded of where he was as reality tugged him back. "Huh" He was currently at the fry place getting himself and Greg lunch. Petey was at the counter and had a bag in his hand. "Are you gonna pay for this or what?"
"Sorry," (Y/N) apologized as he fiddled with his wallet. "How much?"
"$20.15," said Petey as he handed (Y/N) the bag and took the money "Are you okay, you seem pretty zoned out"
(Y/N)'s eyes darted to the left. Petey was just a kid, (Y/N) didn't think he would understand. "Yeah, just lost in thought is all"
"I here yeah," Petey agreed, "Sometimes you just forget what your doing because you're mind's on other things" (Y/N) thanked Petey as he took the bag of food and left for the carwash.
On the way back, (Y/N) noticed something up ahead. A brown car was parked in front of the big donut. (Y/N)'s heart paced with excitement as he rushed to get a closer look. It was a vintage 1988 Audi Sedan. The car model was old, but it shined as if it was brand new. (Y/N) peaked through the windows to look inside. The backseat was almost packed with cardboard boxes, while the front was completely open. The cupholder was stacked with tapes, and a golden anchor ornament hung from the mirror. (Y/N) backed up from the car, he knew who this belonged to, and not only that, he knew him better than anyone. (Y/N)'s excitement was paused when he heard cursing coming from the big donut
"Dammit, that's hot you idiot", it was just some random kid, he looked about (Y/N)'s age and had clothes stained with coffee, "Watch where you're going"
The kid was talking to a man who looked about 20. He had unkempt brown hair hovering just above his green eyes. A white polo that hid under a green and yellow checkered sweater, with blue jeans and black hightops covered his medium-built body. "Sorry dude," said the man, smiling playfully. "Didn't mean to walk into you,"
"Like I care," said the kid "Do you know how much this shirt cost,"
"Look I'm sorry, but better you than my car," said the man walking towards the vehicle. "She's vintage"
The kid had lost it, he walked right behind the man and shouted. "If you care about your car so much, how would you like it if I scrapped that s***** lawnmower?"
The man stopped instantly and slowly turned around. The playful and teasing expression he had on his face a second ago turned into one of pure, unbridled, wrath. "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY ABOUT MY CAR!?"
The kid, now frightened took a step back. "Y-You heard me"
"ORA"
A faint blur ran across the kid's face. Blood spurted from his nose and mouth as he fell to the ground, writhing in agony. The man picked up the kid by the collar of his shirt and looked him dead in his teary eyes. "No one talks crap about my car and gets away with it," said the man angrily "If I see you so much as blow you're disgusting breath across my baby, I'll so your mouth shut with a hole puncher and barbed wire, got it?"
