(Y/N) clutched the note in his pocket. He and Steven had just left the arcade, but (Y/N) was still wondering about the girl that "bumped" into him. Who was she? She didn't look like the other residents of Beach City. She had to be like him, someone who had a stand. Why else would anyone else want to watch him? Other than a stand, (Y/N) was of no interest to anybody.
"Are you okay (Y/N)" asked Steven, breaking (Y/N) out of his thoughts.
"Yeah," He lied "Just thinking about some stuff"
(Y/N) hated lying. However, he didn't want Steven to worry about him. Steven proceeded to show (Y/N) around beach city for the rest of the day, but not once did he forget about the note in his pocket.
...The Next Day...
(Y/N) glanced at his sweaty reflection on the hood of a car, lost in his own thoughts. Who was that girl? (Y/N) thought to himself. He had no idea what to make of this strange girl. Who was she? How did she know his name? So many questions and not an answer in sight. His thoughts, however, were interrupted by a brief spray of water to the face, courtesy of Greg. "What the heck?" (Y/N) groaned as he wiped his face with his arm.
"Steven and I do it all the time" cackled Greg tossing a towel to (Y/N). "Plus you should be thanking me, it's 102 degrees out here"
"Very funny" (Y/N) said drying himself off.
"Are you alright (Y/N)?" he asked "You seem distracted today"
"I'm just thinking about some stuff," said (Y/N), hoping that Greg wouldn't pry any further.
"What kind of stuff," Greg asked.
"It's not important," said (Y/N).
"C'mon," Greg said playfully poking (Y/N) "I'm your boss you can tell me"
Clearly seeing that Greg wasn't going to let it go, (Y/N) sighed and handed Greg the card. "Some girl bumped into me and slipped this note in my pocket"
Greg examined the note and a look of concern crawled across his face. "Do you think it's a threat?"
(Y/N) shrugged "I'm not sure what it is"
"Well after work, you should take this to the police," said Greg. "Beach City is pretty small so catching this girl won't be that difficult"
(Y/N) nodded feeling a little reassured about the situation.
...A few hours later...
(Y/N) attempted to find the police station, but barely had any idea where he was going. At this point he was just walking amelessy around the city, with no sign of a police station anywhere. If someone was stalking him, who knows what they were planning to do. Maybe I should just become a shuddin, (Y/N) thought, then maybe I'll be somewhat safe. As (Y/N) was about to turn a street corner, Steven jumped in front of him. "Going somewhere"
(Y/N) jumped back in surprise, caught off guard by the pre-teen's prank. "What the heck, Steven?" (Y/N) said laughing a little.
"Just thought I'd surprise you" Steven said pointing to himself. "Cause I'm going to lead you to the police station"
(Y/N) was caught off guard by Steven again, this time even more so. "How did you about that?" asked a surprised (Y/N). The only other person who knew where he was going was Greg. "Did Greg tell you?"
"Maybe" Steven said winking "You still don't know Beach City all that well"
(Y/N) pinched the bridge of his nose. He didn't want to get anyone involved, but Steven was right, he didn't know about Beach city that well. He needed a Steven to get him to the police station. "Alright, but stay close" (Y/N) said "If anything happens to you the gems will kill me"
