Josie and Victoria sat in the shade, hands intertwined, as Hope talked her through the transition.
Victoria had decided that she wanted to turn. The little voice in her head had convinced her that she couldn't hurt the people she loved.
"You don't have long left but enough time to drink some human blood. Either me, Lizzie or Josie can make you a daylight ring so that you can go outside in the sun."
Victoria looked to Josie and then back to Hope.
"And what happens if I don't drink blood?"
"Well, I won't sugarcoat it. Your blood will dry up and your heart will slow down until you die."
Vic nodded solemnly and Nat walked up to them, holding a bag of blood.
"Um- is B+ a good... flavour?"
She got some strange looks from the supernaturals in the room but was eventually met with a shrug from hope, who said it didn't really matter.
Natasha handed Vic the blood bag and looked away, feeling a bit squeamish about the fact that her friend had to drink human blood or die.
"So I just-I just drink this and I become a vampire?" Hope and Josie nodded at her and Victoria Blake looked down at the blood.
She brought it to her mouth, hesitated and sucked the first drop from the blood bag.
Veins grew under her eyes and her iris' turned blood red.
Even though she knew she had turned, she couldn't stop. It was euphoric. The metallic taste exploded into a feeling that could only be described as power.
She gripped onto the bag and squeezed it, hoping to drink every last drop. It felt like if she stopped, she would die. She didn't stop until the bag was shrivelled and empty.
She looked at Josie, her vampire side showing and blood trickling from the corner of her mouth.
All she wanted was to kiss her but at the same time she wanted to feed on her until there was no blood left.
Victoria could hear all of the heartbeats around her. Her friend's, her teammate's. It scared her. She didn't want to hurt anybody.
The newly-turned vampire jumped up and shot back, away from everyone, only to be met by an open window.
Her skin sizzled and blisters as she screamed out in pain. She vamp sped, which made her feel dizzy, into the corner of the room, hitting the mirror on the wall and cutting her head.
The girl went to touch the wound but all she could feel was blood. No cut, no graze, just blood that was left from the healed gash.
Her eyes flashed with fear of what she was capable of. She looked around to see everyone staring at her. She was trapped the corner of the room by a lack of curtains and was the centre of attention.
Her fangs grew and she doubled over in pain. A hand flew to her mouth as she cried out. The fangs tore holes into her gums as they slowly showed themselves.
Everyone watched in pity as the 16 year old girl cowered in the corner, hiding from the light and grabbing her mouth in pain with blood dripping out of it.
"For god's sake Stark, close the window!" Josie yelled at the owner of the building.
Tony ran to the wall and flipped a switch, casing well hidden shutters to close. The rays of sun disappeared from the room.
Josie walked up to the girl sitting in the corner of the room with her hands covering her face.
"How do you feel?"
She stared into Josie's eyes. She wiped the blood from her face with her index finger and licked it. Victoria looked up slowly and the veins under her eyes became prominent.
"Like shit."
