Vic scrolled through a news article on her phone with a smile on her face. It called them heroes. She liked that.
She walked far behind the group to avoid temptation. She was getting better but she was still fairly new at being a vampire so she didn't want to risk it.
She stopped smiling at her phone when it pinged.
Look up — A
She did what it told her and she grinned so hard her face hurt. Victoria's best friend was standing in front of her next to a bunch of sports cars.
She ran up to him and tackled him in a hug. The rest of the team left them to it and prepared to part ways, saying goodbyes and such.
"Are you okay?" She asked, still clutching him in a hug.
"I think I should be asking you that. Is it true you died?"
"Yeah, it just didn't seem to stick."
The two smiled at each other after breaking the hug.
"I'm gonna miss you. You better not become a snob at your fancy boarding school." He joked.
"Oh no, I definitely will. You can't come visit unless you bring me money."
"Oh however will I do that, I'm so poor." He mocked, wiping away his non-existent tears.
"I know. Sorry Alexander Stark, I can't be friends with poor people." She said, matching his sarcasm.
"Please, accept this car to take you there and stay my friend. I'm begging you." He pointed to a black sports car.
She chuckled lightly before hugging him goodbye, "I really am going to miss you."
"I'll miss you too."
The pair walked to the team and watched Thor and Loki beam back to Asgard, leaving the rest of the team to say goodbye before going their separate ways.
"You can call me any time, you know." She said, walking over to Nat and Clint, "I wouldn't mind. Things might get a little dull without superheroes."
"I beg to differ." Clint said, wrapping and arm around her shoulder, "You're going to an all supernatural school."
"I don't think that's going to be dull." Natasha added.
"Probably not."
"Take care of yourself Vic." Nat said, hugging her briefly and giving her a warm smile.
"Same goes for you. And don't fight any more alien armies without me." She called to them as she walked away.
"Wouldn't dream of it." Clint yelled back as he watched her walk away.
The rest of them exchanged handshakes and goodbyes, as well as Victoria ambushing Bruce with a selfie to prove that she'd met her science hero.
After that, Hope, Lizzie, Josie and Victoria hopped into the car and drove off to the Salvatore Boarding School for the young and gifted.
A smile adorned her face as the wind hit her face. She was finally going to a place she belonged. With the people she loved.
"Sir, how does it work now? They've gone their separate ways. Some, pretty, extremely far. We get into a situation like this again, what happens then?" Maria Hill said as she and her boss walked up to the front of the bridge.
"They'll come back." He said, looking out the window.
"You really sure about that?"
"I am." He told her confidently.
"Why?"
"Because we'll need them to."
