I decide to leave Zac's body laying out, for now, and inspect the shelter. It looks just like a ski hotel; a cozy wooden lodge. I fly upstairs, downstairs, inspect the fridge stocked with food and turn on the faucets with running water. Finally, completely out of breath, I walk up to the roof and see a small, old-fashioned periscope to observe the outside, surprised at how flexible it is. First, I look down at the roof, noticing solar panels. Then, I take a little handwritten note next to it and zoom in and out and try to focus.

I see a little red dot in the middle of a small forest about a hundred meters away. Instantly, I recognize it's the parked SUV. I smile and look down. Everything worked out.

I go back downstairs and fall unconscious on the cozy, warm, fuzzy gray sofa as I snuggle on the green knitted blanket.

My dreams are filled with thoughts of the first Christmas I'll celebrate, and how beautiful I'll make Zac's grave look. He will get the Everlong respect he deserves. Eventually, deep sleep overtakes me; and I am at rest in peace for I finally know at least one thing for sure again: we can overthrow the TTSICA with this shelter.
