Wu Xie
The next morning, Wu Xie wake up alone in his sleeping bag and after looking around, he notice that Xiaoge was nowhere to be found, which only make him curse in panic into the first rays of the day. Angry with Xiaoge for leaving him so suddenly once again, after they had kisses so heavenly last night, Wu Xie went out in search for him.
Luckily, he didn't had to go far to find Qiling, which had a bunch of herbs on his hand, medicinal ones at that. Wu Xie sighed in relief and smiled as soon as Xiaoge's gaze was on him, forgetting completely about his previous anger.
"Wu Xie." Greeted Qiling as he came closer.
"I was worry you left again..." Wu Xie told him sincerely.
"I will tell you first." Qiling assured him and Wu Xie smiled quite pleased with the reassurance.
"Good. I worry every time you disappear on me." Wu Xie said, pulling Qiling into a hug.
"Let me see." Qiling whisper into his ear.
"Huh? What?" Wu Xie asked, letting go of him.
"Your stomach." Wu Xie blushed a bit, but he lifted his shirt for Xiaoge to see. He also looked down and was surprised to see his injury almost completely healed, with only a minor scar in where there had been a mayor one the night before.
"Was it your blood?" Wu Xie asked, as there was still traces of his blood on his healed skin, Qiling simply assented.
"Thank you... it doesn't even hurt now, but Xiaoge... don't use your blood on me anymore. I'm not using you for..." Qiling pull him closer and kiss Wu Xie to make him shut up. He didn't want to hear that coming from the one he loved. He knew Wu Xie was not like others and it was precisely for that he had fall for him.
"I know. Come, we need to get moving. This place is not safe." Qiling told him, taking him by his hand and dragging him back to their camp. A little while after, they were back on track, moving around the rainforest in search of his uncle and the Queen Mother's Palace.
At some point, they halted as the forest seems to become alive with obvious movements around them. Qiling had seen the traces of snakes as he looked for medicinal herbs, which is why he wanted to haste their pace more. He had a bad feeling about the place from the start, like there was something calling on him, yet he was restless to do so.
Worse of all, there was someone following them as they go deeper into the forest. He had go and scout early in the morning before Wu Xie wake up and have a look, but found nothing, so he bring back a few herbs he saw along his way to use it as an excuse in case Wu Xie asked where he was. He knew Wu Xie's endless curiosity better than anyone else, after all.
They keep walking for a good portion of the day, following a narrow path that ended with a wall of rocks quite high, blocking the rest of the way.
"Okay, that's a huge wall, I doubt our recently gave birth mother can climb." Pangzi said as they halted to look around but with no other way to go further.
"Who's a mother, you idiot? And just for the record, I am fine." Wu Xie corrected.
"I think there is a path behind this pile of rocks. For the way it looks, it was probably intentionally blocked by whoever came here before." Pan Zi said as he inspected the wall.
"If that's so, then there is no problem. We can always blow it up. It's been a while since I showed my true talent." Pangzi offer with confidence.
"Don't be hasty. Blowing it up and considering the high, it may trigger a landslide." Wu Xie worry.
