Wu Xie
"Pangzi, just how the hell you manage to wake up the first Zhang Patriarch?" Wu Xie asked in disbelieve as the tall man slowly rose from the coffin while silently staring at them.
"Who knows? I just hear gears running from above so... a trap, right?"
"Can we beat an ancient blood zombie Xiaoge?" Wu Xie asked as he took in the appearance of the first Zhang to become immortal. He was tall, slender, pale as a ghost, with long dark hair and black hanfu decorated with silky gold embroidery that make him look like a king more than a Queen's warrior.
"Not even I can't go against the first. I'm not at my best."
"Still headaches?" Wu Xie asked with concern.
"Yes... getting worse."
"Is he truly a blood zombie? He looks as young and handsome as Xiaoge, just like that Dou Cheng from the bronze tree." Pangzi asked a bit impressed.
"Be my guest... maybe immortality was stronger the first time around and become weaker after a few generations." Wu Xie theorized.
"Then all those coffins hanging all the way to the top..."
"Who knows... they are all Zhang's..."
"I'll be damn..."
"It's your own fault..."
"Ah, well, maybe you can... you know... present yourself as Xiaoge's wife and ask to become part of the Zhang's family with a blood pact... you already had some Qilin blood in you anyways." Pangzi said and Wu Xie stared at him in more disbelieve.
"Stupid Pangzi, are you for real?"
"Well, there is always a try? It may work as a distraction..."
"As hell it will! But don't worry, because once I become a blood zombie as well you will be the one I will hunt down first! At the very least you will die at my hands!"
"Wu Xie..." Xiaoge whisper as he place his hand over Wu Xie's shoulder.
"Not you too Xiaoge." Wu Xie said as he turned to look at him, which in turn moved to place himself in front of Wu Xie.
"Are you one of my descendants?" The man asked Xiaoge in a weak voice.
"I am." Xiaoge replied and immediately after, the first Zhang was upon him with a kind of speed that was almost a blur and using a black sword still in its sheath, he attacked Xiaoge, sending Wu Xie and him into the wooden wall in a loud crash that left Wu Xie gasping for air.
"Tianzhen!" Pangzi cried out in surprise unable to do anything but watch as the 'not so dead' Zhang charged at the both of them with all his might.
"Get away Pangzi! Run!" Xiaoge shouted as he moved from above Wu Xie to block the next attack coming from his ancestor.
Their swords clash with even more force and Xiaoge tries to draw their fight away from Wu Xie, so that Pangzi can help him out, but unsurprisingly he is no match for someone who has the purest blood of both of them. His strength was truly otherworldly, not to mention his speed and reflexes. Xiaoge was no match for such raw strength.
He was truly the Zhang Qiling who had started it all, who had served the Queen Mother and had sworn to protect her and the world's secrets until the end of time. The first protector of the Bronze Gate and all the darkest secrets it held.
"Xiaoge..." He heard Wu Xie say weakly, probably injured from the fall he had taken on his back.
"Run!" He barely had time to shout as he blocked another attack from his Patriarch.
