Ep 15: We Can't Say Why

Despite the whole Michi disaster, the date was smooth sailing. Though, Aaron still remained a dog for the entirety of it.

When everyone pulled into the driveway, Aphmau noticed that the house's lights were off.

"Huh, Melissa must be asleep." She said as they climbed out of the car.

Everyone exchanged goodbyes and goodnights and went home.

When Kawaii-Chan and Katelyn got to their house, Zane stopped Kawaii-Chan, "Uh, Kawaii-Chan?"

"Yeah?"

"Can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Yeah, sure." She turned to Katelyn and said, "I'll be in in just a minute."

"Ok, but I'm watching you from the window." Katelyn said, going inside. She turned the porch lights on, letting them know she was watching them, much to Zane's annoyance.

"So, what is it you wanted to talk about?" Kawaii-Chan asked.

"Um, well... I just wanted to know. Why do you like me?" He asked.

"W-Where did this come from?"

"I mean, look at us. We're complete opposites in everyway. I'm not saying we shouldn't be together or anything, but... why?"

Kawaii-Chan stayed silent for a moment. She never really thought of this before. When she and Zane got together, she never questioned it.

"Um... I honestly don't know. I just... do." She said.

"Surprisingly, this doesn't make me feel better."

"Well, then why do you like me?"

"Because you're sweet, a good listener, and one of the only few people who'd approach me when no one else did."

"You do know I used to think you were weird in high school."

Zane looked at her blankly, "You know what I mean."

Kawaii-Chan smiled and said, "Well, I like you cause you're you. Do I really have to have a reason to like you?"

Zane paused for a minute and said, "I don't know. I've never been in a real relationship before, and I don't want to mess it up."

"I understand, Zane. I've been with a bunch of different guys that ended badly, too. And, you know what? I don't know why I liked any of them either."

"Where are you going with this, Nana?"

"I don't know why I like you, and I don't think I ever will. But I want to try and make this work, either way."

Zane smiled at her with a warm blush, "Me too."

The two kissed lightly and sweetly.

When they pulled away, Kawaii-Chan said, "So, don't ask that any more. Ok?"

"I won't. Goodnight, Kawaii-Chan."

"Goodnight, Zane."

Kawaii-Chan went inside as Zane made his way back to his place, the two now committed to each other more than ever.

I really hoped you guys enjoyed the chapter. I know it's a shorter one, but I really wanted to post something here, cause I'm gonna be really busy in the next few days.

I'd like to have the time to sit down and write a well planned out chapter, but for a little bit, I just won't have the time to do that.
