Ushijima's POV.
"I had a day off from practice, so I came on a run. Then Kageyama showed up. We started racing each other like whoosh. And I won, so I'm all kapow, you know? But now I'm lost, and it's all Kageyama's fault."
"I'm just gonna smile and pretend I understand what you're saying," Oikawa muttered. Iwaizumi glared at him, and Oikawa just chuckled.
Why was my stomach churning? My heart sped up as I just watched him. He made my head spin, but he also made my blood boil.
"So can you help us?" Shoyo Hinata asked with a pout. Oikawa took a few more steps forward.
" 'Course, Small Fry."
"Who are you calling Small Fry, Small Fry?" Oikawa burst into laughter. He doesn't even look like he was kidnappped. And he sure doesn't act like it either.
"Hinata! Finally. Captain tried calling you, and you didn't answer. We got worried about you," a guy with dyed blonde hair said as he stopped his running. He bent over, hands on his knees and eyes on Shoyo Hinata from the Concrete Parking Lot.
"Atsumu! I'm so glad to see someone! I'm lost, and I blame Kageyama."
"I didn't do anything, you idiot!"
"Don't go losing our little spiker, Mr. Goody Two Shoes."
"I told you I didn't do anything!"
"Well, well, well. What do we have here," Oikawa asked casually as he draped his arm over Kageyama's shoulders. "So you know our little Tobio as well, I see." The brunette smirked, and his disciple rolled his eyes with a sigh.
"Knock it off, Shittykawa. Don't start a fight over your disciple," Iwaizumi sighed as he joined his Captain on the other side of Kageyama. My team and I stood in silence as the Aoba Johsai team stayed close to their own Captain.
"We should go, Ushiwaka. This might get ugly, and I don't think we should get in between," Yamagata piped up. The group in front of us turned to us as if they didn't know we were here the whole time.
"This time, I'm gonna have to agree with Yamagata," Tendo huffed in disappointment.
"We'll see you guys later, then, I guess," Goshiki called. I was the last one planted to the ground. With one more look over of the guys standing around and one more stare down with Oikawa, I ended it before turning on my heel and followed my team.
"What's wrong, Ushiwaka?" Tendo questioned, falling into step beside me.
"Nothing, really," I answered.
"Are you perhaps jealous of Iwaizumi? And Kageyama?"
"Of course not. I have nothing to be jealous of. Why would you think that?"
"The look on your face said something else. If you like him, you should say something before you lose the chance to forever," Tendo explained. I shook my head.
"He'll be just fine without me being around him. Especially in a relationship."
"You'll never know, Ushi. You should at least give it a try. Him knowing how you feel will at least let something off your chest."
"He'll reject me."
"Ushijima." I glanced over at him. He rarely ever calls me that. "You'll never know unless you confess."
"Ushiwaka!" Oikawa's voice rang through my ears, and I instantly froze mid-step. I turned around, catching sight off him running towards me and Tendo. He stopped in front of us, huffing and puffing to get oxygen back in his lungs.
"I'll let you two talk. Glad you're back, Oikawa," Tendo said, waving to us, and he turned to jog off.
"Ushiwaka," Oikawa called again. I faced him, my heart rate becoming rapid as I took in his features up close.
"What do you need?" I questioned. He glanced around warily as if checking to make sure no one was around.
"I want you. No. I need you." He reached up to cup the back of my neck, yanking my head down to meet his awaiting kiss. I forgot why the world turned. I forgot if it was day or not. All I knew was that he is what I've craved for so long.
"Oikawa," I murmured, kissing him again. Finally, he broke free to breathe. We panted heavily from the long, meaningful kiss.
"You were looking for me?"
"Of course I was. Iwaizumi and Kyotani came to our gym. They were really on edge and crying because you were kidnapped."
"I like you, too," he whispered. "I may or may not have overheard the conversation."
"But I don't like you." His face faltered a bit at my words. "Because...I think...I love you," I said. His eyes widened, and he began to blush heavily. I took his face between my hands, and I kissed him once more.
He closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around my neck. I greedily moved my hands down his front, and he gasped in delight. Sliding my arms around his waist, I messaged his waist line. I opened my eyes slightly, looking at him. He looked pleasured. He was becoming more forceful, and he squeezed his eyes closed tightly.
I closed my eyes again before pulling back. His face followed mine, not entirely satisfied. I chuckled when he opened his brown eyes to look at me. Lust shone through as he glared at me. I leaned in, biting his ear lobe teasingly.
"Patience."
"Secret moments," he agreed.
