Chapter 9

tori's pov
i woke up to my alarm going off. i woke up got changed into leggings and a sports bra with a maple leafs hoodie ontop and put my hair into braids. i walked downstairs to see mitch, auston and alex.

"morning guys" i said with a smile.

the minute mitch heard my voice he looked up and smiled.

"morning" they all said.

i got my shoes on and as i was about to leave mitch shouted.

"gally i'm coming with" i couldn't help but smile.

i waited at the door for mitch and then he walked up to me and kissed my forehead.

we got into the car and i started driving. we were both tired so it was a comfortable silence as i drove to a tim hortons. i ordered coffee for me and mitch then i made my way to the rink for practice.

"babe you looking forward to this game tonight?" mitch asked.

i smiled at how he said babe.. i could get use to this.

"yeah final game against the canucks for this month i think" i said and i saw mitch smile.

"yeah i'm looking forward to this game" mitch went on to say and i smiled softly.

i pulled up at the rink and me and mitch walked into the rink together but went our separate ways. i went into my locker room and got my gear on then made my way onto the ice for practice.

~ time skip ~

after practice me and mitch got back into the car and i made the drive back to the house. me and mitch were laughing about something stupid. it's fun because i finally feel like i can be myself around him, he makes me genuinely happy but i always find the minute i'm at my highest i find a way to bring myself down again. it's a bad habit of mine and i can't help it.

we arrived back at the house me and mitch got out the car and i went inside and went to my room and lay down on my bed. that's when i heard a knock on my door and the door opened, in comes mitch once i saw him i smiled.

"hey babe" i smiled.

he lays down next to me. "hey beautiful" he says.

he then kissed me on the forehead. i felt myself blushing so i hurried my head into mitch's chest. i heard him chuckle which made me smile.

i looked up at him and kissed him he kissed back. i felt sparks go off as our lips moved in sync. we both pulled away smiling. i rested my head on mitch's chest while he played with my hair.

"tori?" mitch asked i looked up at him.

"yeah?" i said and i saw him smile softly.

"you know we need to keep this from everyone right?" he said.

i looked down, i obviously knew it but i can already tell that it's gonna be hard.

"yeah and we have to sneak around cause you know what the media is like." he nodded his head in response to that and sighed.

"i'm up for the challenge though" he said and he looked at me and smiled softly.

"me too" i replied.

i started to fall asleep i looked at the time and it was 12:35 so i would get a couple hours sleep.

"i'll leave you to go get your sleep" mitch said.

he got up and was away to leave before i spoke up.

"mitch c-can you stay?" i was nervous because i didn't know what he was gonna say.

he locked the door and came and lay back down next to me.

"if you want me to stay then i will gladly stay" mitch said.

i smiled softly then i felt his strong arms wrap around my waist bringing me closer to him.

"night mitchy" i mumbled before i fell into a deep sleep.

mitch's pov
once i wrapped my arms around her waist and brought tori closer to me i couldn't help but smile.

"night mitchy" i heard her mumble before she fell asleep.

"night babe" i kissed her on her head and i saw her smile in her sleep.

i looked around her room taking it in, her room is really clean and everything is in its right place. i then looked back at tori asleep in my arms and her hoodie sleeve rolled up and i saw what looked like scars on her arm. i took a closer look and then that's when i noticed that she had obviously done them her self.

i now know why she winced in pain, i then remembered about how she was going on about what she wants to achieve then at the end she added "that's the reason i'm still here" that now makes sense. so i'm guessing she has wanted to end her life but never has.

now i want to be there for tori no matter what. i thought to myself i found myself slowly falling asleep with the girl of my dreams in my arms.
