After my boat trip with Harry, I was taken back to the tower in silence. And when Sam and I were alone, he simply ignored me. Well for a while.

"I'm happy for you," he spoke up two hours after tense silence.

"Don't." I warned, looking up from my book. "It was just a kiss and it didn't mean anything. He got me when I was vulnerable, that is all."

With that, I bowed my head to continue where I left off. But he wasn't done.

"It's not my place to get an explanation, my Queen."

"Cut the Queen skata, Sam!" I looked up. I could only imagine how furious I looked, because his face fell for a moment before he clenched his jaw.

"I do not know what you are talking about, Queen Cordelia."

"Zeus!" My face flushed as I got up and moved to the other side of the room pacing, I could feel myself begin to boil with anger.

How could he think I wanted anyone but him? It was so painfully obvious that Harry had gotten me at my most vulnerable. Surely, Sam understood what a touchy subject my mother was.

"Are you not listening?" I argued, "I said it meant nothing to me. Sam, I risked everything to run away with you. Do you know what will happen if my father finds out my powers have started to come to their full potential? Do you have any idea how dangerous my father can be?"

"With all due respect, Princess. I believe we were talking about you. Not your father," He stuck his nose up in a sneer that made me want to hit him.

"All of this is because of him. Everything revolves around him as long as he's alive. Now, we are safe. Today we are alive. But that could change tomorrow. I risked our lives for us. Why would I do that if I wanted him?"

"I never said you did. Clearly you are struggling with your conscience."

"I-I... I want to be alone," I stared him down for a couple of minutes before he bowed and exited, closing and bolting the door behind him. He called his second in command, Mason to guard my cell.

An hour later, I was escorted out by Mason. I was led out of the tower then down the corridors, to my designated bedroom. Confusion tugged at my mind, until once again, green eyes came into view.

Skata.

His lips were pulled into a big smile, making my stomach twist with nerves.

"Another adventure, Prince?" I challenged, placing my hands on my hips.

"You should be more thankful, my Queen. You are free because of me, after all."

My jaw dropped and I could feel my eyes widen with new interest.

"H-how? How did you get my father to-"

"We are having a ball. Our fathers want the rest of world's leaders to know that we are betrothed. Obviously it would look bad if the bride-to-be, were to be missing. Do you not think so?"

Suddenly, my mouth went dry. But he kept going on about how he convinced my father to let out of the tower. I didn't hear any of it.

"I told him how well behaved you were on the boat and-"

"Mason, take me back." I began to leave the room but Harry was quick enough to gently take my forearm and spin me back.

"Let go." I warned through clenched teeth.

"Whether you like it or not, Cordelia, we are to be married. Please, don't make it harder than it has to be."

I didn't know how to respond to the gentleness in his voice. His green eyes pleaded with me, much like they did earlier and I couldn't move.
