Chapter 8

Third's P.O.V

Yumi tilted her head as she watch something stupid happened in front of her. Bokuto and Akaashi both made her stay after she told them of a very interesting news as she watch Bokuto argues with Kuroo something about who is cooler than the other. Akaashi seemed not too concerned to hear their argument as he watched them sitting beside Yumi. Kenma, meanwhile seemed to be busy playing his phone ignoring the things happening around him.

"Does this happen often Keiji?" Yumi asked as she looked at the two before giggling amusedly.

'Seems like she had a happy morning this day..' Akaashi noticed. "They argue for the most senseless things everyday especially on court."

Yumi laughed in amusement and remembered the time where she would watch Akaashi and Bokuto with the volleyball team at school from a far as they laugh at somemthing Bokuto did. Yumi regretted thinking badly of them then but happy to be a part of them now. Bokuto seemed to influence the people he is with that Yumi couldn't help but be comfortable around him without Yumi knowing consciously.

And just like Bokuto, Hinata interests her in the same way starting from yesterday. Yumi had heard that Karasuno will return on the afternoon and Yumi is debating whether it's about time to visit her senpai back in Miyagi. '...or maybe I can visit tomorrow then stay there for a couple of days. If I'm not wrong, Oji-san also stays at Miyagi.'

"Ne, Keiji I'll leave for a couple of days tomorrow. I will miss a couple of training sessions as I have to visit someone." 

"Have you told Coach yet?"

"I'll text Yamiji-san, I've already finished the work that he wants me to finish so I think he'll approve." Yumi said as Akaashi nods in understanding at her.  Seeing as Bokuto and Kuroo still seems occupied, Yumi poked Kenma on his left arm that made the boy looked over at her curiously "I'll get going. Can you please tell Kuroo that it was nice hanging out with you guys."

Kenma nodded in response. Yumi smiled and looked back at Akaashi whose eyes seemed to be looking at her suspiciously making her laugh uncomfortably and gave him a warning look before she left.

Akaashi released the smile that he's been holding when he noticed that the Nekoma's setter was looking at him curiously as he paused the game in his phone, " Do you have anything to say Kenma?"

" Is she really just a childhood friend to you?" Kenma asked as the smile left Akaashi's face and returned to his usual blank face.

"We grew up together and I never really felt any attraction to her aside from being her older brother. It was the same for her." Akaashi looked at Kenma's yellow orbs and raised his eyebrows, " What got you interested Kenma?"

"Oh, I just found it odd."

"Oya, oya, what's this interesting topic that I've been hearing?" Kuroo suddenly interrupted as Bokuto nodded showing his interest on the subject on the background. Akaashi sighed, " Kenma was just asking me about Yumi."
