Chapter 9

Third's P.O.V

"Hinata? Is that you?" Yumi blinked as she just took her sight away from her psp console and looked at the orange-head talking to Ikkei Ukai. Hinata looked over her way with a disbelieving face and smiled widely as he run towards her energetically, " Uwaaahh!!! Hibari-chan!!!"

" Since when have you been here Hinata? How come I didn't noticed you?" Yumi didn't noticed Ikkei approaching her from behind letting her head welcome the incoming fist that belonging to the oldest male. Yumi groaned and immediately looked over at Ikkei voicing her complaints.

"Ouch!! What are you doing Ojii-san!!" Yumi pouted with tears threatening from coming out of her eyes making Ukai Ikkei rolled his eyes at her antics. 

"You're annoying." He said further making the girl voice out her complaints even more.

"Oh, so Hinata is practicing for spiking?" Yumi opened her mouth and entered the popsicle that Ukkai Ikkei gave her earlier to stop her complaining which the girl happily took. Hinata nodded and looked at the former coach who seemed to have finished preparing the things that he needed to use in the training as Yumi watched while eating the popsicle on her hands.

"From now on, you're going to keep hitting quick strikes non-stop. This is just making up for not having enough time to practice, but the setter's not gonna be a genius like your partner." Ikkei explained as he watched the boy's reaction. " Well, I've got no clue how much of a genius he is, but..."

"Heeyyyy!"

"Hello!!!"

Yumi blinked as she looked at the newcomers in the place. Yumi figured that Hinata must be having his practice in Ikkei's backyard that's why she decided that she should not disturb him any further and decided to meet up with her senpai in the nearby cafe.

Yumi smiled as she remembered her senpai back in middle school. Her name was Sato Yua and a year older than her. 'Yua-senpai helped me back then, I wanted to see how she's doing right now.' 

"Yumi! Over here!" Yumi looked over to where she can hear her name from being called and smiled as she saw a young blonde woman waving at her with a huge smile on her face. Yumi smiled back in delight and offered the seat in front of her in which the woman happily took a seat and looked at her.

"How have you been Yumi? It's been a long time since I last saw you." Yua commented as she looked at the smile on the younger woman's face. " You've changed since middle school, huh."

"What are you talking about Yua-senpai, I'm still me." Yumi gave a small smile as she motioned at the menu asking what the other person wants to order, " What would you like to order Yua-senpai? I can treat you."

"I can pay mine, don't worry about that." Yua rejected the offer and headed over to the counter to state their orders. Yumi obviously, chose to order a strawberry parfait and slice of chocolate shortcake while Yua chose to order blueberry milk shake and a slice of triple chocolate mousse cake.

Yumi and Yua smiled as they both went to their seats exchanging some light-hearted jokes and memories that they have back in middle school. " Oh yeah, did you have any boyfriend at present Yua-senpai? I don't want to make him jealous taking your time meeting me." Yumi gave a teasing look on her senpai making Yua sighed wanting to change the subject.

" Oh please, not that idiot." Yua supported her chin in irritation and looked at the view outside the window, " Are you saying that Oikawa-senpai still doesn't know?"

Yumi's eyes widened at the information and looked concerned over at Yua embarrassed that she brought up the topic, " But i think that Iwaizumi-senpai noticed it, right."

"It was only that dumbass that doesn't notice." Yua scoffed irritated as the waiter placed the order to their table. Yua unhappily took a sip to her blue berry milk shake and continued talking, " To think that he's so popular with girls, all he knows are his fan girls."

" Maybe it's because he don't know since he's used to girls confessing to him first?" Yumi stated carefully studying the look on the face of her senpai. " It's surprising that Iwaizumi hasn't talked to you about it."

"Oh he did. " Yua said as she took a bite to her cake. " He just feels sorry to me that it seems like that dumbass never really notices it after dropping some hints. What a dumbass, dumbass..."

Yumi smiled seeing Yua piercing her fork at the innocent cake over and over that Yumi knew that Yua must've been hurt after so many years of studying together. " Have you tried making him notice you?"

"Ugh, I don't want to talk about that dumbass, can we just change the subject?" 

"Alright, but remember that you can use onii-chan's name if you want to make him notice you. I know that onii-chan won't get mad." Yumi giggled making Yua dropped her head to the table tired at the subject. " I was just saying."

"Oh sure, that cousin of yours doesn't mind you told me to use it." Yua rolled her eyes. "So, where are studying today?"

"Oh, i'm studying in Fukurudani. I just decided to visit you and Ojii-san here in Miyagi that's why I passed by." Yumi had an unusual twinkle in her eyes that even Yua couldn't help but shiver after knowing what's probably on the girl's mind. 'She found an innocent victim again?'

"Where does the poor boy or girl go to? I want to pay my respects"

"Mou~ Yua-senpai, They're not dead yet."

'Oh lord, it's a group of person?'

"Oh, and they're the volleyball club from the Karasuno."

Yua thought for a second before she spoke, "Karasuno? I think that Iwaizumi once mentioned having fought them in a practice match and prelim finals?"

"Yup, it's them alright." Yumi nodded as she took a bite on her cake and smiled, " I got interested when I saw Hinata and their setter did some epic quick. But their foundation is so terrible that I gave some casual pointers."

"Oh yeah, I hope that they continue to live to last for a year."

"HEY!!!!"
