Explosive Repercussion (spell idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that want a spell which hurts both the user & the enemy

Lvl: Cantrip

Casting Time: Instant

Range: Touch

Component: Red dye, ash, touch

Duration: Four Turns

Spell Description: This spell is activating by having the caster touch someone else, or by them touching their own body. After the touch, a tiny explosive spell get's tied to the touched person body. Now when ever they get hit, their will be a tiny explosion at the impact sight. This will cause both the user & the enemy (assuming that they don't use a ranged attack) to take 2d4 + 3 damage.

Backstory: This spell was made by a person who truly lived by the phrase "If I'm Going Down, I'm Taking You With Me!". Unsurprisingly that person died after getting shot a bunch & then exploding. This spell has since been used by assassins & blood thirsty warriors to both protect themselves, & harm their target. People are still trying to figure out how to make a variant of this spell which allows it to hurt ranged users.
