HIDDEN (D.M)

I woke up early in the morning excited about today. Atticus told me yesterday night he would show me around the school grounds today. I have a pretty good idea where things are now but if it means hanging out with Atticus I'll gladly go.

I get ready and put on a white long sleeve shirt with a black overall, some black tights and my black doc martens and put my hair in a low messy bun.

I walk out my room into the common room and see a couple of people talking in their own little groups. I see Blaise and Malfoy on a couch talking to each other, I wanted to go say sorry to Blaise for not giving him a proper introduction but seeing as he's with Malfoy I'll just do it some other time.

I open the common room door to find Atticus leaning on a wall patiently waiting for me. I give him a heartwarming smile showing my gratitude and he does the same.

"Ready to go?" He asks, raising his eyebrow.

"Yes I'm read- uh wait, I forgot my wand. I'll be right back." I say holding my finger out, turning around and running towards my room.

I run up the stairs to the girls dormitories and I see Malfoy walking towards me going down the stairs, I raise an eyebrow in question but quickly disregard it to not let him know he has my attention.

As I turn to open my room I see the words "Mudblood not wanted here"  carved on my door, my eyebrows lifted and I put my hand over my mouth in shock of what I see. I turned my head in the direction Malfoy was walking to to see him smirking at me amused by what he just did and the reaction I had.

He turns his head and walks away with a smirk plastered on his lips, I mutter the password and open the door and slam it shut. Angrily I throw my hands in the air and start yelling out cuss words.

"You bitch!" I scoff walking towards my pillow. "Asshole! I'M NOT A MUGGLE BORN YOU DISRESPECTFUL BITCH! Ugh" I say as I roll my eyes.

I take a deep breath through my nose and out my mouth to calm myself down. I get my wand and walk out the door slamming in shut once again. I walk to the common room and see him sitting down, laughing without a care in the world. I bite my tongue holding in my words as I look at him. He can play his little games, he won't win this silly little game he's playing at. I won't give him the satisfaction of causing a rise in me. I won't allow it.

I walk out the common room and see Atticus is still waiting for me, I push Malfoy in the back of my head not letting him ruin this day.

"What took so long?" he asks.

"Nothing you need to worry about." I reassure him, "So where to first?" I ask.

"Well, I'll show you the most common places here but the rest is a surprise." He says giving me a wink and walking away.

I follow him, feeling excited about seeing hogwarts. Even Though kid's here are annoying, snotty, mean, and rude, Hogwarts is a beautiful school. I've only been here a few weeks but it's enough to know it has a lot of rich history here. It has a story of it's own and that makes it way more beautiful than Beauxbâtons.

Atticus spent the whole day showing me around. He showed me Hagrid's hut and we even spent a few minutes with Hagrid. At first look Hagrid looks scary and mean but once you have a conversation with him he's warm and sweet and you learn a lot about creatures too.

He showed me the room of requirement, he said most parties take place there. He showed me the gryffindor common room and it's completely different from the slytherin common room. Their common room is red and gold, and it's cosy and warm unlike the slytherin's. He showed me the library and it was emebarring because I got knocked down by a book flying towards me.

As the sun was setting we took a walk to the black lake. My legs were getting tired so I decided to sit on the grass and take out my book.

"What are you reading?" He asks as he snatched the book out of my hand.

"Hey! careful!" I said reaching out for my book. "It's a novel. It's about love and war, childhood and class, guilt and forgiveness. It's about a girl named Briony Tallis who makes a jealous false accusation towards her sister Cecilia and Robbie Turner, a son of a servant. It. brings about a crime that will change all of their lives." I say giving him a half smile remembering how my momma would read this book to me.

"Read me a chapter" he says, nudging my shoulder handing me my book back .

I look into his eyes feeling my cheeks get hotter, I give him a smile feeling my heart jump to my throat. He sits down next to me as I open the chapter I left on, I look over at him to see him peacefully looking over at the sunset, I admire all of his features noticing his little beauty marks, his nose, his eyelashes. I quickly avert my eyes back to my book before he catches me looking at him and thinking I'm a creep.

The sun was completely gone by the time I finished the chapter, I looked up towards the sky and see all the beautiful stars. There was a full moon tonight and it shined so bright making the lake shimmer. I look over to see Atticus laying down looking at the stars as well, he takes notice of my looking and starts to get up.

"C'mmon I want to show you something," he says reaching out for my hand.

I raise and eyebrow in question but give in and take his hand. He takes my hand and walks me back to the school. We walk a bit and we make our way into a tower, we walk a few steps and I quickly let go of his hand admiring the view. I gasp noticing how beautiful and close the moon looks, how big and bright the stars look. I feel my heart flutter at the view.

He walks next to me and puts his hands on the railing. "Beautiful innit?" He says looking up at the moon as well. I look over to him and smile, "Yes it is, thank you Atticus for today." I say looking back up at the moon. We look at the night sky in silence admiring the view we have, minutes pass by and breaks the silence.

"I come here every night when I'm sad or angry." he says looking at me then back at the moon, "every time I come here and look up at the sky every bad feeling I have goes away and I feel calm- peaceful." He says scratching the back of his neck.

"I- I uhm I have to tell you something Nova..." I turn my body letting him know he has my full attention. He turns his body facing me and starts playing with his rings, twirling the metal over and over.

"Go on.." I say getting nervous by silence he's giving.

"Well.. No- nobody knows this about me, Im very closed off when it comes to the people here at hogwarts because they are so judgmental.. but you- you make me feel comfortable to the point where I can be myself around you" He goes off, my hands start to get sweaty and my mouth starts to get dry.

"Im- Im gay.."

My eyes widen by his words, I open my mouth but no words come out so I close them. I don't know what to say.. I mean don't get me wrong this is something amazing and I support him no matter what but I'm just surprised that I never noticed. It would never occur to me he would be gay, I also feel flattered he trust me enough to tell me something huge.

His eyes start to fill with worry by the lack of silence I'm giving, he turns his body to face the moon again and scratches the back of his neck. I take notice of his worry and put my hand on his shoulder reassuring him.

"Hey.. I completely support you and I think it's the most amazing thing you are able to tell me." I say turning his body to face me again. He smiles and gives me a tight warm hug.

"It's a sad day for the girl community" I humorously whisper, hugging him just as tight, he giggles at my comment and let's go of the hug.

"Thank you."
