"NO!" I jolt myself awake, my body mildly shakes, breaking into a cold sweat.
As I recap my dream I kick off the sheets off my body rushing towards the bathroom. I crash to the floor letting everything come out.
"Nova what's going on?" I hear Delilah come towards the toilet, she grabs my hair hoisting it up so it won't reach my lips.
"Just a bad-" I gag, "dream– just a bad dream" I flush everything down while I tiredly lean against the wall.
"Are you okay?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" My voice slightly more agitated than I wanted.
"You haven't been the same.. I know you're going through something. I can see it in your eyes. Just know that I'm always here for you Nova, whatever it might be you aren't alone."
One of the many good things about Delilah is she doesn't hover. She'll ask and reassure but never linger.
I nod giving a slight smile, "can we move on?"
"Of course, I hope you'll be okay for your first game today." She changes the subject quickly.
Quidditch. Today. Slytherins and Gryffindors.
I shoot my eyes open forgetting my game was today, I groan as we both stand up.
With everything I've been doing this week quidditch was the last thing on my mind. Snape doesn't go easy with teaching me Occlumency, if I let my guard down half of the time it feels like thousands of needles are poking at my brain.
Snape hasn't told me the reason for these private lessons either, every time I ask he ignores me or randomly attacks me with his legilimency.
Repairing the cabinet hasn't been easy either just how I predicted, I went to the library to read more about what this is and how to fix something like that.
It's a form of transportation that can take you anywhere but they are very temperamental.
Tricky to use and to fix.
To fix you have to repeat an incantation, yet it's very hard and complex. I can never get it right. Sometimes I feel hopeless but I know I have some time to get it fixed.
I get ready deciding to put on red knee socks today, I've been told I'm not allowed to wear anything other than black or white but frankly I don't care. It makes the uniform look better, besides my robe is long enough to cover everything.
I walk to the bathroom to brush my teeth seeing the mirror covered by a towel, I furrow my brow and look towards Delilah.
She begins doing something pretending she doesn't notice my questionable look.
I pull a smile as I go back to what I was doing, also pretending I didn't notice anything different.
I'm very grateful for what she has done, I didn't do this before because I didn't know if she would be okay with all of this but I guess she answered for me.
But it just makes me realize how bad this problem is getting to me.
The more she does the more I feel lucky to have her but at the same time I feel guilty for not telling her what's going on.
How will she react knowing her best friend is a death eater? Or who my family actually is?
We walk out of our room after both of us finish getting ready, other girls walking out their rooms as well heading down to the common room.
"Draco what happened?" I hear Pansy's voice as I take my last step down the stairs.
Blaise, Pansy, and the same guy who tried out for the beater position circle around Malfoy, people in their corners whisper to each other all looking towards him.
