The Morning After

I wake up to Meredith rubbing her hand on my chest. I love when she does little things like that to wake me up. "Morning babe." I say softly. Meredith smiles I can tell because she's laying on my chest so I feel her mouth move. "Morning." She replies as Liam walks in. "Morning." He say. "Can I sit here is it like... sanitary?" He continues pointing at a chair in the corner of the room. Meredith and I laugh "yeah you're good." She says "good." Liam says simply. Meredith picks her arm up as well as her head and looks down at her hips. "What?" I ask. She smiles, so I look down. Austin had his arm on Meredith kind of hugging her. "He likes you." Liam says softly Mer looks at Liam. "Hm and what about you?" She asks laying back on me the way she was before. "It doesn't really matter because dad freaking loves you and would take a bullet for you but.... I like you too." Liam answers Meredith lightly nods. "It does matter." I say "you're my kid, if you don't like Mer I won't date her. You come first." I continue. Meredith doesn't move so I think she understands what I said. "No, I know that. Trust me dad I know. The only thing I don't like about Mer is the fact that she doesn't know how to be quite." Liam say. Meredith grabs her pillow and throws it at his head. "Rude." He says. "I'm the rude one?" She asks jokingly. "You're the one who woke me up." Liam argues. "Okay you have a point." Meredith says. We all laugh a little.

"Mer-Mer" Austin calls out sleepy. Meredith turn on her side so she can see him. "Hey buddy." She says softly he wraps his arms around her neck. "How'd you sleep?" She asks. She is good with kids and I love it. She cares about my kids like they are her kids. "Good. How did you?" Austin asks still sounding sleepy. "Good." She replies. Austin moves closer so he can hug her better. "Want breakfast?" She asks hugging him back. He nods. I stand up out of bed "oh my god." Liam says. "What?" Meredith says as I say "Hmm?" Liam shakes his head. "You guys are teenagers." He says before walking out. Meredith is sitting up in bed now Austin still hugging her "you're hickey." She says looking at it. "Oh shit." I say she laughs. "Well don't hide it now he already knows." Meredith says. I smile and walk over to the two of them, I kiss Austin on the head and then I place my hand over Austin's eyes leaning in to kiss Mer. She laughs. "I had to make sure you weren't choking." I say and walk out.

Meredith's POV:
I get up with Austin who was holding his bear still. Austin is holding my hand with his other hand as we walk down the hall. "Who wants waffles?" Cormac says as Austin and I walk into the kitchen. Both the boys say "me!" Excited. Austin goes to sit down in the living room as I walk over to Cormac. I smile placing my hand on the center of his lower stomach moving my hands to his hips. "Hi" I say softly. He leans down and kisses me. I pull away so it doesn't become too passionate and hug him. "How did you sleep? I didn't even ask." He says hugging me back. "Good. You?" I ask returning his question. "Good." He says reaching for a box in a cabinet but still hugging me. Liam walks in "oh my god! Please tell me you have something on under that shirt..." he says I laugh. "Liam I wouldn't be out here with you here if I didn't." I reply. "Good." He says grabbing two cups and the o.j out of the fridge. I was wearing one of Cormac's button down shirts still.

We all eat breakfast then I get dressed. "Where are you going?" Cormac asks "back to my house." I reply putting my hair up, "you're leaving me?" Cormac asks sad. I smile and turn around "Mhm." I reply "and you're not even sad! Wow okay I see how it is." He says I walk over to him kissing him and then pulling away walking out of the room. "Hey!" He says. I chuckle.

"Bye boys." I yell walking to the door. "Bye Mer." Liam yells back. "No." Austin yells. I stop walking. "What?" I ask as he comes running over to me. "I don't want you to leave! Stay here." He says. This boy is breaking my heart. He was so damn cute wanting me to stay again. "I can't buddy I have a meeting on my laptop and I need to talk to my kids." I say bending down so I'm eye level with him. Cormac walks in and leans in the door way watch us. "But I want you to stay! I'm going to miss you." He says almost crying. I pull him in for a hug. "I'll be back tomorrow and you'll see me when we get home." I say. He shakes his head that was on my stomach. "Buddy." I say. "Mer Mer stay here!" He cry's. Cormac looks at me with a pouty face. "You're not helping." I say looking him still hugging Austin. Cormac walks over and stands next to Austin "please stay." He say like Austin did. "I hate you." I reply. "I love you." He says scrunching his nose. "Buddy I have to go, go see daddy."

Cormac's POV:
Meredith was extremely hot comforting Austin. "Go see daddy." Meredith says pulling Austin off of her unsuccessfully. She rolls her eyes and throws her head back a little. "Come her buddy." I say pulling him back. "No!" Austin yells. "Look you and daddy are going to have a really fun day and then I'll see you soon okay?" Meredith says bending back down to be level with Austin. Austin wraps his arms around her neck, hugging her so she can't leave. I bit my bottom lip a little as she refers to me as 'daddy' she looks up at me making eye contact. "No!" She says. I smile and tilt my head. "Cormac." Meredith says. I bend down and pull Austin back he starts crying as Meredith walks to the door. "Love you. Thanks a lot." I say she makes a sad face. "Love you. Bye buddy." She says as Austin yells her name. "Oh my god I can't do this." She say standing in the door way. "Go! He's fine!" I yell over Austin's yells. She walks out and drives away.

Meredith's POV:
I get to my rental house and go right to the kitchen where I had left my laptop I had a meeting with Bailey, Richard, and Jo to go over some work stuff. "Hey guys!" I say as each person pops on the screen. "Hey Mer!" Jo says excited. "Oh my god!" She continues. "What?" I asked confused. "Well to start you have a huge hickey and that's not you're shirt... I've never seen that before." Jo says. I stop not really knowing what to say before Bailey cuts in. "Uhh okay so-" she starts to say as Richard looks at me through the screen. "Shit." I mumble to myself. After my meeting I call Maggie who was at home with my kids. "Hey!" I to Maggie as she answers the phone. "Hey. Ellis is taking a nap but zola and Bailey are right here." She say giving Zo the phone. "Hey Zozo. Hey Bailey!" I say they both smile "mommy!" They say excited. "Hey guys! I'm coming home tomorrow!" I say. "I can't wait to see you." Zola say Bailey ran off to play with toys. "Me too ZoZo. Can you put Auntie back in the phone?" I ask. Zola hands Maggie the phone. "Hey." She says. "Hi." I respond. "What's up?" She asks. "You wanna be- wait where are you?" I ask. Maggie doesn't answer but is walking. "Now I'm outback by myself. What's up." She answers. "Wanna be an aunt again?" I ask. "Shut up!" She says. I smile "not yet. But uh soon... I guess." I says. Maggie looks happy. "Okay I have to go." She says.
