I Should Have Known

Cormac's POV:
I immediately pull away from Addison. "I'm with Meredith. That is very obvious. I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong impression." I say looking at Addison she nods. "I-I know that. It just I needed that. Even the smallest kiss. And you're very attractive." Addison says as she steps closer to me she touches my face. "Addison I can't." I say as I turn and walk out of the room. I start to walk away but find myself turning around opening the door again. "I thought you couldn't?" Addison says as I walk in. "No I can't but I want you to leave now." I say. She looks at me and smiles. "I can't do that." She replies. "K." I say and walk out of the room. I walk right to Doctor Bailey's office where she is sitting at her desk.

"Bailey?" I say as I open the door a little bite. "Hayes." She replies. I walk in and sit down in front of her "hypothetically, what would you have to do if I said someone kissed me like after I said no? Hypothetically." I ask she looks up from the paper she was writing on. "Technically nothing... unless they raped you. You don't speak hypothetically... who kissed you?" She asks I rub my face not sure what to do next. "Uh... no one. It's fine." I say. "Uh huh. How's grey?" She replies. "Wait no it's not fine. Doctor Mont-" I start to say as the door flys open. "I did not kiss him he kissed me." Addison yells. Bailey looks at her and then at me confused. "Addison leave. Leave the hospital you have a family I'm L.A and you're ruining it. Go home, you're case is done." Bailey says. Addison tools her eyes and walks out. "Meredith is- shit I haven't even spoken to her." I reply to Bailey. She looks at me "I hope she beats your ass." Bailey says as I stand up. "Ha ha very funny." I reply. "I'm not joking you're being an ass today. I'm coming with you." She responds we both walk out of her office. I stop walking "what?" She asks. "I need to print a picture of the babies... Addison took it." I answer. "Here." Addison cuts in. "The picture and her chart. Good luck." She continues throwing the stuff at me. "Thanks." I reply.

Meredith's POV:
Austin is hugging me as Cormac walks in with Bailey. "Hey." I say to them both. Cormac's holding some papers. "How are we feeling?" Bailey asks. "Not too good... sore." I reply. She nods. "Did you ever get water?" Cormac asks. "No you were an ass and would communicate with me." I respond. I'm sorry. "Hey boys." He says but the boys don't respond they don't even look up. "Mommy... is there a baby in your belly?" Austin asks again. I smile and rub his head "no buddy." I reply. "Uh" Cormac says softly. "I mean technically you're correct." He continues. "Meredith breathe." Bailey interrupts. "What are you talking about?" I ask confused. "Look at this." He says handing me papers. "Holy shit. What is that?" I question. He laughs and walks over to me. "Baby A and baby B. You're pregnant." He says. I can't move I can't speak I can't breathe. "Grey!" Bailey yells scaring me back to reality. "Babe, we're gonna have a baby." Cormac says as a tear rolls down my face. Austin sits up and starts to dance around the room. Liam takes a picture of me crying with Cormac sitting next to me.

Bailey starts to cry too. "Oh my god... I'm so so so sorry Bailey." I say as my smile falls. "Boys go find Maggie." I continue. "Why are you apologizing? You're pregnant you should be happy and excited." She exclaims. I look at her. "Bailey." I say softly as she breaks into tears. I stand up and walk over to her giving her a hug. "She'd be walking by now. Saying mama and dada, Ben would love her." She says through tears. "Shh I know. I know." I say. "She uh she would be one in three months." Bailey says wiping a tear off her cheek. I smile and look at her "she still is. She's still going to be one." I say. Bailey laughs "yeah I guess. Ben wants this huge party... at the fire station with all his friends. They're so welcoming and they get it but I don't know... I don't know if I can do that." Bailey tells me calming herself down. "If you feel like it's too much don't do it. Bailey it's been one year, they will understand." I assure her. She nods "congratulations... are you going to tell Alex?" She questions. I shake my head no. "I don't want to tell anyone until it becomes obvious so please don't say anything." I reply she nods and then her pager goes off so she runs out of the room.

"Cormac... I'm going to fall." I say as he walks up behind me. "I know." He replies carefully picking me up and putting back in bed.

Cormac's POV:
I help Meredith get back in bed. "Cuddles?" She asks I smile "Mhm" I reply getting in bed next to her. "We're gonna have a baby." She whispers. "We're gonna have two." I say. She chuckles "that's a lot of babies." She replies I nod and place my hand on her belly gently. "Mer they're so little." I exclaim. "You can't really tell what they are but they're beautiful and perfect and little they're so little." I continue. She smiles "Mhm that's what babies are. Little and perfect and alien looking." She responds. "Did you just call my baby an alien?" I ask. She laughs "no I said it looks like one and if I know you, you did too." She answers I start laughing too. I was going to tell Meredith what happened between Addison and I but everything is so perfect and it will only make everything sad.

Meredith's POV: *time jump*
I get to go home tomorrow. I haven't seen my kids or the boys since the first day and I'm excited to go home. Karen walks in. "Alright tonight is your last night! I just have to check your vitals again and then you can go to sleep. I'm here all night so if you need anything just let me know." I smile "thank you Karen." I say. She nods.

I fall asleep but get woken up by a very sharp pain in my lower stomach. I place my hand on my stomach and lean forward, I start pressing the button that tells Karen I need her but she doesn't come. This really hurts and I need help so I go to stand up to see if I can walk to the nurses station but when I move my blanket I see a puddle of blood on the bed. Shit. "Help. Hey I need help!"

AUTHORS NOTE:
I was getting sick of the Addie storyline so she left... bye Addie ✌🏻um anyways.... I already have the next chapter there's a time jump and I don't think you'll like it but hey. I hate these last two chapters and I'm thinking about ending the story. Enjoy this though.
