The other compartment was however different from theirs. With complete silence and everyone already ready to sleep their professors themselves in a deep slumber. Divya pulled out her phone and checked the time and was shocked to know it was already 1am.
'Where did the time go by?' she wondered. From the moment she had boarded the train something or the other was going around. She had completely forgotten about her phone, the evidence was completely in the battery that was still 89 percent having not used it since late afternoon. Divya laughed to herself as she thought how if she would have been home now she would have had it charged by now getting ready to watch kdrama or maybe read some novel. But now, here she was getting ready to wake her friend up so that they could have some more fun...the timing of sleep is still undecided.
"Simran wake up." She shook Simran who quickly woke up and asked her what it was.
"The boys have started drinking, we will be playing some games or may be just chit chat... wanna join?'
"yeah, just give me a minute...where is Rohan?" Simran asked.
"he is with Nandini." Simran got down from the berth and the two walked off towards their berth. However unlike earlier the scene at the other side was now different. The boys were dancing about and hooting quite loudly. Nandini stood from her berth along with Rohan to check up on them.
"Nandu they are quite loud." DIvya said the moment she reached their seat.
"I know," they were still observing them when the girls saw Manav removing his t-shirt and dancing about along with a bottle of whiskey in his hand.
"ohh fuck" the girls exclaimed and at that very moment walked off towards the boys, opening the door both Nandini and DIvya said, "Guys... Aman... Madhav shhhhh" None paid much attention to them, whereas Atharva himself shushed them even further. Shaking their heads, The three of them decided to stand there when Manav, a very drunk one to be exact, walked towards Divya and Nandini and said, "Arre Nandini...Divya you guys came?"
The two girls looked at each other and then towards a very drunken Manav, quite amused themselves and said, "yeah we did...but Manav how much did you have?' even before Manav could explain he stumbled a bit towards the open door, Divya being the closest quickly took hold of him and closed the door and made sure that all the boys were in the middle.
"Divya, you stand here, make sure none of them go to the door, I will stand there with Madhav and Dev, they are smoking I might as well take a few puffs." Divya nodded her head and stood there watching the scene unfold. The moment the voice would go on a higher note she along with Simran would shush them. The songs still played along with now Rishi, Sanket and Manav dancing in the circle that had now got constructed there.
For Divya this whole thing seemed so amusing, but she knew if her mom or dad were to see this she would be so dead. This was something they had always been against, but as the cold wind of Gujarat passed through the door and engulfed each one of them she looked around. There was Aman who smiled at her wickedly as if he knew something that she was not aware of. Then there was Atharva, as usual enjoying in his own way along with his playlist.. now in fact with the sips of alcohol in his system even making sarcastic comments more than that he would in a minute. Manav was busy clarifying everyone that how, "Meine toh pee hi nahi hai... mujhe toh chadi hi nahi hai." Divya knew by morning he wouldn't know anything and that was going to be the best thing to watch as the rest would torment her.
And then there was Madhav and her and that friendship that was developing amongst them. She had enjoyed and treasured all those moments when he had called her up to talk about adjusting the seats, of planning things, being unjust in the games. She felt special with every time he would ask her, her opinion. It wasn't the first time this was happening... but you know, it would always be special when the one who was special to you gave you a bit of attention...yes that had to be it. She thought as she smiled at him looking at him as his hair ruffled with the blowing air.
