"What's wrong?" I ask him, "I just, I feel horrible for what I did i didn't mean to come off as a dick, I just I like you," He says

"It's okay," I said, "Really this time around I forgive you," I laugh and he looks up and laughs with me.

"Larissa, will you go out with me?" He says as Beau comes back with our cotton candy.

"Ben" I say watching Beau at the corner of my eye. I bite my lip, it's worth giving him a chance.

"Yes," I smile.

He smiles so widely and I laugh a little because of how cute he looks

"How about tomorrow night," He says. Tomorrow was Sunday but we didn't have school on Monday so I agreed.

"Um here," Beau says handing my my cotton candy, "Thank you," I smile and take it from him.

"Let's go over here," Ben says taking my hand. I smile and walk away with Ben.

I threw my cotton candy and kicked it away from my self groaning like a monster as Melanie would say.

"What's wrong?" Mel says tugging at my leg. I look down at her, my kid, a person I made with Lis.

"How about I tell you later," I say picking her up. She nods and gives me a hug.

I look up to see Lis looking at me, she has a smile on her face, "Thank you," She mouths from the distance.

"For?" I mouth back. She gestures me to come her way and I do.

As I come her way she says, "For being a good dad,"

"Every girl needs one," I see her face get red and eyes a little watery but I ignore it as she does too.

"No problem," I say.

As we finished at the zoo we went to eat

"Where are we going?" I ask the boys

"Let's go to McDonalds," Mel smiles wide at me. I laugh, "Babe, McDonald's?" I ask. She nods her head and so do Beau and James.

"I mean I guess it's fine," Everyone else says, "Where do you wanna go?" Ben asks putting his hand around my waist.

"I guess McDonalds," I laugh.

Everyone screams a yay and we walk to the car on our way to McDonald's.

"Mommy," Melanie says in the car, "Mhm?" I say, "Is he your boyfriend?" She points to Ben.

"Yes babe, you know his name," I scold a little.

"Right," She says, "Ben,"

I nod. "Why isn't daddy your boyfriend?" She asks and my eyes widen, "Melanie," I grit my teeth, "Don't ask stupid questions," I yell a little

She gets all red and sad as always, "Because Mel, me and Daddy are just friends," I say nicer this time and I see Beau grip the wheel as I say 'friends'.

I bite my lip, is he jealous? Why does he keep doing this? Does he like me? I thought of just asking him but not in front of Ben.

"we're here," Beau says and gets out of the car, He unbuckles Melanie from her car seat and grabs her hand and crosses the street while me and Ben stay behind.

"You and Beau are really close right?" I ask, "Best friends since 2nd grade," He nods

"Wow," I smile.

We go into McDonalds and order, I get a McChicken and Mel gets her happy meal with Chicken McNuggets.

"I'll pay," beau says as i proceed to take my wallet and pay, "Its fine," I said taking out $15

"Lis," He said moving my money, "Let me pay,"

I gave up, "Fine, thank you," I smiled, he winked at me and paid the cashier. I smiled and looked at Ben who looked pissed.

"What's wrong?" I asked him and he snapped out of his thoughts, "Oh nothing babe," He smiled, I didn't believe him but I let it slide.

We ate our McDonalds and again were off to some other destination, "Where too now boys?" Mel said and we all cracked a chuckle or smile.

"You guys made a cute kid," Jai said, "Shut up," Beau punched him knowing Jai said that on purpose.

"What I'm a proud uncle," Jai laughed picking up Mel and tickling her, "I have more uncles?" Mel asked me.

I nodded, "Yeah, Jai and Luke are your uncles," I said.

"and so are James and Skip," Beau added 

"really?!" Mel's eyes lightened up like a Christmas tree

"Let's go to our house," Beau said, "watch a movie?"

"I'm up for it," Ben said putting his arm around me, "me too," I said and we all agreed.

I texted my mom just to tell her where we were going to be, she didn't like the idea of me spending a whole lot time with Beau, but she has to understand melanie needs a dad
