I heard him walk down the stairs, "Uh Lissa," He said, "Why is it trending on Twitter that Beau Brooks is Melly's dad?"

My heart sunk to my stomach.

I suddenly couldn't breath correctly, I started to hyperventilate as everyone watched me.

"Mommy, are you okay?" melanie said tugging on my leg looking up at me

"Mhm," I smiled, "Go upstairs stairs and get changed baby," I barely managed to say as she walked up

"Larissa," My mothers teeth clenched, "Answer jason's question," She started to get red or anger with just a hint of worry in her eyes.

"I-I-I," I couldn't. The words were there but didn't want to come out

"Mom," I squeaked with tears, "Me and Beau met at that party, drank at that party, and.."

Before I could finished Jase dropped his phone, "What?!" He screamed, "You could've picked anyone to have sex with and you pick him!" He yelled

I started to tear up even more, "Stop screaming Melanie can hear," I sniffled, "It was a mistake okay! But a mistake didn't come out of it, out of me!" I shouted and ran upstairs wiping my tears so Mel wouldn't see.

I went into my room, normally a teenage girl would slam the door and lock her self but with Mel, I couldn't.

"Mommy, are we still going to that persons house?" she asked referring to the promise I made her earlier.

"Um," I thought about it, long.. "Not sure baby," I smiled at her

I could see her bright little eyes fade a little, she really wanted to go I'm guessing. "Actually," I started, "Yeah, we are going" I told her

"Really?" Her eyes got bright again and I nodded, "Soon baby, we'll eat and then get ready to go,"

She smiled at me and walked away into her lilac colored play room. 

"Ris," My brother said coming into my room

"What," I replied coldly

 "I'm sorry," He said, "I didn't mean for it to come out like that," He said sitting on my bed while I entered the closet.

"Tell me please how was it suppose to come out? You think just because he's inappropriate he's gonna be a bad person? You're wrong," I said rolling my eyes

"No, I just think he's not father material, does he even want to be part of Mel's life?" He asked

 "Of course he does," I spat, "And I bet you he is father material," I scoffed

He stood there silently as I picked out an outfit. "He wants to meet her?" He asked, I nodded. 

"When are you taking Mel to meet him?" He said scratching his head

"Today," I said and put my outfit on my bed

"Mom's never gonna let you go," He said, "Its not a good idea to go today,"

I turned to face Jason, "Look, all of Mel's life I've felt so guilty,  guilty because I didn't know who her dad was, a girl needs a dad Jason and you know that," I almost started to tear up, "Just let me go,"

He sighed, "Fine," He began again, "But only if you help me like you promised earlier today,"

"Yeah about that," I said, "What did you do?" I asked

"Something involving-" He was cut off by Melanie

"Mommy can we go now, PLEASE!" She begged. 

I looked over to Jason who nodded and said, "Tell you later,"

I quickly changed and brushed my hair I texted Ariana

Me: Are you at Beau's?

Ariana: Yeah, are you bringing Melanie here?

Me: Can I? Are you guys busy?

Ariana: Noopee, just sitting here waiting for our pizza. COME OVER!

Me: Text me the address and I'll be there soon

Ariana: 5678 N Greenview

I looked on my navigation, it was a 7 minute walk so we did walk.

"Um, we're leaving mom," I yelled as I put on Melanie's shoes and then my own.

"Where are you going?" She suddenly asked concerned

"To um a friends," I lied

"You better not be going to that-," She stopped and looked at Mel, "Boys house,"

"Mom want the truth?" I asked she nodded

 "I am going there so he can meet her," I bit my lip

"No," She said, "Get back you're not going,"

"Mom I'm going," I raised my voice a little and opened the door

"Larissa!" She screamed at me and I shut the door behind me. I wasn't setting a good example for my own daughter but I want her to meet her dad.

We walked, right when we got to Beau's street we were mobbed.

Paparazzi everywhere, I started to feel claustrophobic, "Larissa! Larissa! Is it true?" One asked

"Are you doing it for money?" A another asked. I mumbled a quick, "No" and tried to get to the house

"YOU'RE DOING IT FOR MONEY SKANK," Some shouted, "IS THIS THE KID SHE DOESN'T EVEN LOOK LIKE BEAU," Other shouted.

Skank, Whore, Bitch, Slut and more unappealing words shot at me while I covered my daughters ears and she snuggled into my collarbone. Photos were taken and I couldn't pass through the mob.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Some one shouted. I looked up, "Beau," I said relieved

He took my hand and led me through the mob and into the house. I set Mel down and started to cry. Melanie pat me on the back, "Don't cry," She said

I started to hyperventilate again and fell to pass out, luckily I fell into Beau's arms. James rushed to me with a glass of water and Mel was in Ariana's arms scared watching me.

"Lis, are you okay?" Beau asked scared

I wiped my last tear and nodded, "I'm sorry for making a scene,"

"It's fine, you're claustrophobic huh?" James asked taking my empty glass

I nodded embarrassed and bit my lip.

"You said you wouldn't come," Beau smiled. I smiled back biting my lip, "A girl needs her dad," I whispered

We both looked over at Mel, she was laughing and playing with her idols.

"Mel," I said and she looked over at me, "Look, do you like where I took you?" I smiled

She ran to me, "Thank you, I love you," She hugged me and then looked to Beau and whispered, "Don't tell anyone, but you're my favorite," She giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck

He laughed and hugged her back and mouthed a thank you to me, I bit my lip and nodded.

"You okay?" Ariana asked

I looked over at Mel and Beau who were laughing and talking,

"Couldn't be better.." I smiled
