Chapter 19

(Kageyama's POV)

Y/n and I are walking to her house and she's really... hyper. Which I guess isn't weird, for a normal person. I've never seen her so giddy and full of energy. It's nice seeing her like this. She so adorable when she jumps around and talks so much that she needs to catch her breath. Her smile is so easing to my soul. The fact that we lost every single game today leaves my mind as she spins around and holds my hand tightly.

"Hey Tobio, dance with me!" She says in between giggles and spins. She grabs both of my hands and swings them around. To be honest she seems drunk.

"There's no music," I say smiling at her childishness. She rolls her eyes playfully while keeping her smile bright as ever.

"So? Don't be so serious, Tobio!" She spins around while continuing to hold my hand, raising it high above her head. I take hold of her hip as she finishes her spin, and pull her close to me. She puts her hand on my shoulder while keeping the other in my hand.

She sways us around, closing her eyes and leaning her head back while humming a song I've never heard before. God, you're so beautiful. After swaying for what seemed like long beautiful years she accidentally steps on my foot. I wince. Not that it hurt or anything, it was just a shock.

"Sorry!" Y/n giggles resting her head on my chest. She keeps the steady pace of our sways while she giggles uncontrollably. Her laughs start to become contagious, and I start laughing with her.

Once our laughs died down, she hooks her arms around my neck and lets out a small hum. "I love you," she sings quietly. "I love you!" She yells louder lifting her head yelling to the world. She looks back at me. "You're all mine!" She hums.

"I love you too, but are you drunk?" I ask, laughing again. If I'm going to be honest, I'm kind of scared for her answer.

"Noooo," she says in a sweet, innocent voice giggling at the end of her sentence. I sarcastically nod my head. I believe her but of course, I've never seen like this, so it's questionable. "Tobio." She sings. I will never get tired of hearing her say my name. She's always called me that. Ever since the day we met. "What would you do if I called you baby?" She asked hiding her smile. I took her hand away from her mouth to see her face.

Baby? That's awfully nice to hear, but it will never beat 'Tobio'. If she called me baby I would definitely like it though.

"Well?" She asked, snapping me out of thought.

"I like it," I say quietly and then kiss her lips softly. She smiles in the kiss and pulls away for a second only to peck my lips once more. Y/n quickly turns around and starts running in the direction of her house. I quickly chase after her laughing as I go.

I'm quick to catch up to her and pull at her waist and tackle her down in the grass of her house. The neighborhood is filled with our laughs.

After a few minutes of playful wrestling, we lay on our backs side by side, staring at the sky.

"Tobio," she whispers after we've calmed down. I look over at her. She's staring at the night sky with the look I've learned is her focus-face.

"Hm," I hum in response.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For being the only one I want. I haven't felt this alive in years. No one has brought that out of me.

No one but you."

My heart does flips at her last words. I'm proud to be that person in her life. Hell, I'm proud of her. Before I met her I didn't know how to deal with people. She has softened my heart. I am forever grateful for the day she tripped into me at the store. The face she wore that day, the face of worry and fear. It's gone. Not a trace of it is seen.
