I waited at my apartment for my good friend Maxie. She works with me at the cafe. She's driving me home, to the farm and to the cafe.

I had Winnie in her tan pants and tan shirt with a bear on it. A warm grey onesie, and a thick rose gold coat wool socks, and tan booties.

Wisconsin is a cold state is all I can say.

I heard a knock at my door. I saw fiery red short curls. "Maxie"! I said exidely hugging her with Winnie in my arm. "Parker", she said happily hugging me.

Ohh this little cutie is so adorable she she said touching Winnies hand. She gave a small smile with her eyes still shut.

"Come on I still have to drop her off", I said grabbing the diper bag. Iocked the door and headed down three flights of stairs.

I placed Winnie in the back of her car.  I sat up front and buckled up next to Maxie. She drove away from the apartment complex. And to the farm.

After a little while we drove upon a white farm house. "I'll be back in a few", I said to Maxie with Winnie in my arms. I walked across the snow to the porch.

I knocked on the door. The door opend revelling Tucker. "Hi", he said opening the screen door. I replied "Hi"

He took the diper bag. I gave Winnie one last hug. Call me if you need anything, I told Tucker as I pressed Winnie to him. He nodded.

I smiled at him. I shut the door behind me. I walked out without my baby girl. I reached Maxie's car and buckeld in.

She drove down the snowy road. I tear slipped from my eye. Then I felt a hand on my coat. I looked at her. "She is going to be just fine", Maxie said with a smile. I put a smile on my face.

Me leaving Winnie makes me think about home. Not the apartment, my real home.

Thinking about how my mother must feel, I am her second child. One day I was thier, the next I'm not. Then I think about Paris. She was already in a bad stage of her life. Then I left, her older sister, gone just like that. I remember her being always sad. Me and mom try to get her out of her bipolar, but we never where capable of doing so. Is she better, is she worse?
Then Penelope, my sweet little Penelope. The youngest her bright smile. She looked up too me, I was her best friend. I was the first person she talked too, when she arrived here.

I miss them so much, our family is breaking apart one by one.

Before I knew it, I saw Dreams And Beans in tan letters. Me and Maxie walked in. The first thing I smelt was hot chocolate. Pastries, and baked goods, filled the glass under the counter. "Parker it's good to see ya" again, I heard a lemon sweet voice say behind me. I turned to see Kinley my boss. "It's so good to see you", I said. "Alrighty well catch up during break, but for now get to your stations", she said. Me and Maxie nodded our heads. We hung up our coats and went out separate ways

Maxie went in back to work with, Diesel, their the bakers. And me well I'm the waitress, I'm not allowed to be in the kitchen.

I put a brown apron on and tied it behind my back. I walked over to the counter. These are the croissants with a honey drizzle, for table 3, Kinley said giving me a tray, with two plates of honey drizzle croissants.

I walked over to the table. And palced the plates in front of two men who looked in their thirtys. "Thank you" one said. "Your welcome, enjoy", I said walking away.

After a few hours it was finally my lunch break. So I munched on a sandwich from the back. I was sitting in the staff room. Maxie and Diesel walked in.

"Hey girl did ya get your tree yet?" Maxie asked. "For what?", I asked swallowing a piece of sandwich. Maxie and Rex gave each other a weird look.

"For Christmas?", Diesel said. I smacked my head on the wood table.  I started tearing up. "Hey Parker what's wrong", Maxie asked.

"I can't afford a tree", I cried. "I have bills, rents, and I have to get Winnie something's". "Hey I have an old tree in my garage, I don't have any use for it because me and my girl like real trees better", Diesel said. "You'd really help me", I asked. "Of course" Parker, he said.

I sprang up and have him a tight squeeze. "Your the best" I said letting go. "I know", he said smiling.

"Dweeb", I said throwing away my wrapper.

We talked for a few minutes longer. Then we had to get back to work. By 3 o'clock me and Maxies shift was over

I went to the glass counter I grabbed a small brown bag and put a few doughnuts and a croissant in it. I put my coat on. Maxie was waiting for me at the door.

"Come on we have to stop at Diesel's place that way he can give you his old fake tree", Maxie said. "Winnie first", I said exidely. "Of course", Maxie said getting in the car.

After a while we arrived. I jumped out of the car and ran too the house. I opend the door. Tucker was at the kitchen sink washing a bottle. I tapped his shoulder. I turned to me.

"Hey Park's", he said with a smile. "Hi" I said quickly. "Let me guess", "Winnie?", he said with a smirk. "Yes!" I said exidely.

He put the bottle down. He walked to his room. I saw Winnie in a bassinett. I rushed over to her sleeping body. I picked her up gently and hugged her.

"I missed you so much sweetheart I love you so much", I wisperd.

I got her in her winter clothes.

I felt good to have my baby in my arms
