THIRD'S PERSON POV
Todoroki suddenly felt the exhaustion so he sat on a nearby bench. He can't carry his heavy heart along at the moment when Midoriya's voice keep lingering inside his mind, reminding him that he doesn't have any chance to the boy.
...he already made up his mind and decided to move on from now on. He got no idea how the whole concept of moving on works, but he will.
He's planning on opening wikihow later.
His ignorance towards romance made him realize how complicated it really is, making him wish that the rumor about him not having any emotions is true.
Todoroki is fully aware that he looks like a middle-aged woman in a midst of divorce as tears keep falling from his eyes and sadness taking over him.
He's supposed to be asleep now and he's so tired.
"...Hey, take this." A voice came out of nowhere with a hankerchief in his hands, offering to Todoroki.
He looked up to see a boy with indigo hair with eyebags that definitely suits his character well.
"I-I'm sorry. It's ok, I'm not crying I'm just sweating." Todoroki answered, swiftly wiping off the tears and pretending to wipe his forehead to be more realistic that he's sweating.
"Stop fucking around and take this man." He said in the softest way as possible. Todoroki took the cloth from him and he sat down beside him.
What's with this dude? He doesn't look like someone who's wholesome like what I'm seeing from him. Todoroki thought.
"You're Shinso from Class 1B, right?" Todoroki asked quietly while looking on the ground.
"Yeah, be thankful. I don't easily approach people like this." He said in monotone, almost the same as Todoroki.
"Oh, ok." He replied blandly, thinking why would he be thankful when I didn't asked his company?
Shinso transferred from the General Studies Department to the Hero Department when he successfully passed Aizawa's special tests, also making him his protégé.
It's silence for a few minutes, with Todoroki's silent sobs filling the air since both of them are very introvert people and no one dared to talk first.
Shinso then put his palm on Todoroki's shoulders to comfort him, squeezing it as if it wasn't their first time talking to each other. He can't think of a way to break the awkward silence so he thought that physical attachment could make him better.
"I won't ask you why you're crying but it's going to be alright. I know, I'm not good at comforting people but deal with it bro." He said flatly.
"Yeah, T-Thank you Shinso. By the way, why are you talking to me? I-I didn't mean it in a rude way but we haven't even talked properly before." Todoroki asked in confusion. He thought Shinso's not the kind of person to approach someone and comfort them out of nowhere.
He's very out of character right now, and Todoroki found it odd.
"I just took the chance." He replied after taking a deep breath.
"...N-No. A-Actually, I have a crush on you. Isn't it how you flirt with people?" Shinso said blandly, having no emotions in it. His monotone voice is more like a threat than a love confession.
Todoroki choked on his own spit. The way he said it very casually scared him.
"W-wait, what?" He asked, checking if he heard him right.
"Yeah, I like you dude. I just thought that you're hot and I've watched you since the Sports Festival last year." He said casually and it's so awkward, for Todoroki.
