"Exopacks on! Exopacks on! Remember people, you lose your mask, you're unconscious in 20 seconds and you're dead in four minutes. Let's have nobody be dead today, it looks very bad on my report!" The crew chief barked at us, stalking up and down the rows of soldiers, technicians, avatar drivers, and scientists menacingly, holding his huge gun close to him like a precious item. I slipped my mask on with ease, letting the fact that I was finally on Pandora after 7 grueling years in the training program. I heard some muttered curses next to me as I saw an army veteran struggling with his mask. Wanna know how I knew he was a veteran? Well first off, his legs looked limp as hell, and a wheelchair was folded up in front of him. Poor guy.

"Try adjusting your head strap." I tipped him. The guy looked up in surprise at me, and I smiled at him. He gave me a half-smile as he re-adjusted the strap and slipped the exopack on with ease. "Thanks," He told me, and I nodded. "The name's Rei, Rei Willows. What's yours?" I asked him. "Jake, Jake Sully." He said, shaking hands firmly with me. "The name sounds familiar, are you by chance related to Thomas Sully?" I questioned. "He's my brother. Your name is familiar too... did you by chance like in Missouri for a few years as a kid?" I nodded, now remembering. "You were our neighbor!" I exclaimed. "Man, you were the nicest kid in town. Nice to see you again, Will." I smirked. "You remembered the nickname. I remember yours, Jakey." Jake groaned. The ship came to a halt and the door opened with a mechanic whirr. "Let's MOVE! Go directly into the base! Do not stop! Go straight inside!" The crew chief barked at us.

We jumped out our seats, adjusting backpacks and such and going down the ramp. "Look at all this fresh meat!" Two soldiers stood by the door, gossiping and commenting on all of us. Then they noticed Jake and me. "Check it out, man. Meals on wheels." He commented, nodding over to Jake. I growled angrily. "That is just wrong. But his girlfriend is hot." The other noted. I flipped him off. That earned me a smack on the back of my head by my brother, who was conveniently behind me and Jake.

I stopped suddenly, grabbing Jake's wheelchair to stop him just in time to miss being smashed by a soldier in a modified metal fighting suit. "Watch it hot rod, hot stuff." The soldier inside said. Now I was even more pissed. "Watch your mouth, limpdick!" I retorted, flipping him off. If there's one thing I hate it's being flirted with by guys I barely know. This time Jason approved this, shooting a glare to the soldier as he made his way to the hangar. I eyerolled before continuing towards the base as a yellow huge-ass tractor-like mech rolled past us, multiple poisonous bows stuck in the wheels. I let out a small 'hmph' of curiosity. We made it to the door and made our way to the mess hall as a gray-haired general with a buzzcut and a large scar on the side of his head. This guy gives off weird vibes... I thought as I plopped down on a seat, eyeing him skeptically. "People, you are not in Kansas anymore..."
