Someone Special

After spending about an hour at the park, messing around with each other, we got hungry and decided to go to a In-N-Out that was just a couple blocks away. 

"Aw snap! I didn't know we were gonna go out and eat. I didn't bring my wallet. You think we can walk back to my apartment so I can get some money?" Daniel said. 

I shook my head, "No," and kept walking.
We were a block away and Daniel asked, "Why? How are we going to get food if we don't have money?" 

I pulled out my wallet from my back pocket and showed it to him.
"I'll pay." I said with a smile.
"Oh, no, (y/n) you don't have to do that! I don't want you to spend your money because of me! Let's just head to my place and I'll get my wallet so I can pay for myself." Daniel begged. 

"No, Daniel. It's fine! I'll pay for you, don't worry about it! You don't have to pay me back. I promise, it's no big deal." I told him.
Daniel would not give up and kept begging me not to pay for him. 

We got closer to In-N-Out and he finally gave up. Daniel and I walked inside and got two cheeseburgers, two medium fries, and two Cokes. I paid for the food, and got our stuff.

Daniel and I finished our food and threw our trash away. We started to head back to the apartments because the sun was about to set.
"I had fun today." I said.
"Me too!" 
He put his arm around me and I looked over at him. He smiled at me and I returned it.

My heart was beating fast. I didn't know why he put an arm around me. Does he like me? No way. No. There's no way a cute, funny, sweet, and kind guy like Daniel would like me. No way!
