When I walk into the kitchen and I see both Gale and Peeta are knocked unconscious. Blood is coming from Peeta's arm and Gale's leg. I look around and see a rose. There is a note attached to it. It says "thought you got all of us didn't you? There is still two of us left. Catch us if you can girl on fire." The note must be from the rebels that snow sent out to kill me. I try to wake up Peeta first. "Peeta wake up, come on Peeta please wake up." I am sobbing now. I move over to Gale. "Gale, please wake up. Wake up Gale, come on." He doesn't move either. I run out of the house towards Finnick's house first. I bang on the door. "Finnick please help!" He flings the door wide open. "What's wrong?" he asks "Peeta and Gale were knocked unconscious by the last two Capitol members." I say sobbing. We run back over to my house. Finnick takes a look at them. "Go get your Mom, now!" He says. I run over to my Haymitch's house where my Mom is staying. I bang on the door. "What is it?!?" Haymitch exclaims. "Where is my Mom?" I ask him. He runs up the stairs to get my Mom. I grab her wrist and pull her to my house. Haymitch knows something is wrong so he brings the medical supplies. We rush into my house. Finnick is trying to wake them both up. My Mom goes over and starts checking their pulse. I can't look anymore. I go sit on the couch sobbing. Haymitch sits beside me. "Everything is going to be alright Sweetheart, they are going to be fine."

Mom has Peeta and Gale in separate beds. Peeta in my room and Gale in the guest room. What is going on? I don't even know how to respond to this. All I know is that I want revenge. I want to kill these two myself. My revenge. That's all I can think of. I clench my fist. I feel like I am going to punch something. Then the rage comes over me. I scream and punch the wall. My hand goes right through the drywall. It doesn't even hurt after, or maybe I am just full of anger that I don't feel it. Haymitch comes out of my room and sees me sitting on the stairs with my head in my hands, sobbing. "Sweetheart, Peeta is about to wake up. I think you should be the first one he sees. He will be very worried." I nod and go into my room. I sit beside my bed and hold Peeta's hand. His eyes flicker open. "Whe...where's..katniss?" He says sleepily. "I'm right here hon." I say wiping the tears from eyes. He looks at me, into my eyes. He smiles and says "Did anyone hurt you?". I shake my head. "I am fine, I was really worried about you though, I was hoping my boy with the bread would wake up so I could marry him in a few days." He laughs. "Well here I am." he says. I hear a scream from the next room. "I will be right back Peeta." I say as I let go of his hand and rush into Gale's room. "Gale are you okay?" I say as I barge into the room. "My leg hurts so much." He says. "MOM!" I scream. She rushes into the room and pushes me aside. "This may sting for a few seconds but after it will feel better." She says as she puts some medicine on Gale's wounds. He squints and let's out a sigh of relief when it is over. "Thank you so much." He says. My mother nods. "I will be back Gale." I tell him and walk out of the room after my Mom. I grab her wrist and spin her around. "Mom, I just wanted to thank you for helping them. I love you so much." I say and hug her. She gives me a squeeze and says "Anything for my girl."

I go back into Peeta's room quickly. "Hey beautiful..." He says sleepily. "Hi handsome." I reply "Hey that's our thing!" I hear Finnick say as he walks into the room with Annie and Finnick Jr. "Well we stole it." I say winking at him. Finnick Jr walks over to me and holds out a handful of sugar cubes. "Want a sugar cube?" He asks and smiles at me. I burst out laughing which puts Peeta into a laughing fit and Finnick and Annie. "Did you put him up to this?" I ask Finnick with tears in my eyes. "Yepp!" I here Finnick say. "I tried to get him to wink too, but he couldn't do it! He is just like me though!" I hear him say. Oh Finnick, way to lighten the mood. I think to myself. "What are we all laughing about?" We all turn around to see who is standing in the door. It's Gale. "The are laughing at me!" Finnick Jr exclaims which again puts everyone into another laughing fit. After a good of five minutes we finally all come to our senses. "Alright, now that you are finished, we need to take care of some more important business. Who did this to Peeta and Gale." Haymitch says as he enters the room. "It was the rebels, they left a note with a rose." I say uncomfortably. I feel a hand on my back and I know it is Peeta. I turn to face him. 'It's okay.' he mouths to me. I smile. I know we can win this, with all the friends and family I have, we can win this and take them down. Easily. The question is how are we going to find them.

*two days later* "So everyone knows the plan?" Haymitch asks. Everyone nods. Peeta, Gale, Finnick, Johanna, Annie and I. "Alright we start in an hour. I suggest everyone says their good-byes now, just in case." Haymitch says softly. I turn to Peeta and pull him away from the crowd. "Peeta, I can't afford to lose you. If you get killed today, I don't know what I will do." I trail off. He holds my face in his hands. He wipes the tears away from my cheek. He gives me a soft kiss on the lips. As he pulls away he says "I am never, ever going to leave you." "Promise?" "Always." I turn to face the others. Annie is in Finnicks arm, crying and Gale is hugging Johanna. Peeta wraps his arm around me and we walk to the others. "Alright everyone, let's start." I say bye to everyone and walk out of my door with my bow and arrow. "Hello." I whisper to it and it turns on. "Can you guys hear me?" I say to my bow. "Yes, loud and clear." Haymitch responds. "Okay, I am walking out into the forest now, you can start walking out of the house now." I keep walking out into the forest and start shooting some arrows at birds. Then I hear a branch break behind me.

I turn around and get a bow and arrow ready. "Oh, Mockingjay, why would you do that?" A man says with a smirk. He is dressed army outfit and is with a younger man who looks scared. "Joe, maybe we should go." The younger man says. "Shut up Jonah." Joe has a sword and Jonah has a spear. "So Mockingjay, you obviously know why we are here. We are part of the army sent out my President Snow. We were sent here to kill you." Just after he says that he pounces and tackles me. "Help!" I scream. As I try to wrestle him off me he pins me down like Clove did in the first hunger games. "No one can help you know, Mockingjay." He pulls his sword up. Just as he is about to swing at me, he gets lifted off me and flung into a tree. I look up to see who it was. Gale. Gale grabs him and puts his hands behind his back then rams him up against a tree again. Just as the others get here, Jonah flings his spear in their general direction. No one sees it until it hits Finnick in his abdomen. Peeta runs and grabs Jonah and tackles him to the ground. "You son of a bitch." Peeta mumbles to Jonah. I run to Finnick. "Katniss.." He says softly. "Finnick, you will be okay. My Mom is on her way. Don't worry we are going to save you." I turn around to see what is happening. Gale and Peeta have them handcuffed. I see my Mom break through the bushes with Haymitch. "Except Finnick is anyone else hurt?" Haymitch ask, no one replies, which is a good thing. Where is Annie? I think to myself. I look around and I see her curled up in a ball on the ground far away from us. "Annie!" I scream. I run to her. She is shaking and scared. "Annie are you hurt?" I ask her. "No, but I can't lose my boy from the sea."
