Maria's POV

I looked through all the restrooms and I couldn't find her the bell had already rang but I don't care if I'm late Peggy is more important...James is going to be mad if he knows I skipped class I'll have to make a fake excuse later oh well.
"Shit teacher." I whisper to myself our teacher are extremely strict with the "walking in the halls without a pass" I pull out my lanyard with my public library card on it. It could easily pass as a restroom pass we walk pass each other and she looks at me and keeps walking which means she bought it people may think I'm dumb but trust I'm a lot smarter than I show. I finally decide if she's not inside she must be outside I go outside to the little park space we had in the back of our school it was technically school grounds so you wouldn't get in trouble and finally I found her! I was about to go and ask her when I saw John sitting on the floor and running circles on her hand while she sits on a bench looking at the ground. After I minute of deciding weather to go or not I go for it.
"Um...hey." I peak in a wave they both look up with sad looks but don't say anything.
"Um I saw your argument at your table and I saw you storm out and I wanted to come and check if you were ok and maybe if you wanted comfort you." I say.
"Um... T-Thanks Maria." Peggy gives a soft yet guilty smile with a little sniffle. I move and go sit down in the opposite side of John.
"I don't want to re bring up whatever happed if you'd it's want to talk about it again because I'm sure you raked to John but I'm just curious." I say looking at her and John.
"I've just been sitting here and Johns helped comfort me." She smiles at John.
"Ok um well to begin with as you've always known my sister have always had the attention on them Angelicas the Witty one with the sarcastic humor and Eliza is the shy pretty girl and then there's me Peggy and when people describe me they don't say anything beside "Oh! And Peggy the youngest sister." And it gets annoying like really annoying having to put up with it all my life and it hasn't gotten better at all.For Christ sake my parents  introduces me to people like that and who do they talk to? they talk to Angelica and Eliza because of course they do of courseeee. Then beside the whole "And Peggy" thing my sisters always leave me out of things. They say it's on accident it it's not they clearly forgot. Oh wait it not just my sisters IT HALF OF THE FUCKING PEOPLE I KNOW!" She says and then starts crying again I sit next to her then give her a hug.
"Peggy I'm so so sorry that that's happen to you all your life that a hard thing to deal with always being last and always feeling left out but Peggy I want you to look at me." I grab both of her hand and she looks at me.
"I here by declare that I Maria Lewis will become your friend and will never ever forget you or the funny beautiful talent that comes with you." I say dead serious I get a good smile out of her and John and she wipes her tears after a few minutes of her getting calm and collected we decide it's best to go back lucky for me I have her first seventh and last.
"Well alots happen considering it our first day." I laugh I mean it really has I made a new friend I got invited to sit with someone else at lunch(even if I said no) I helped my friend with her breakdown and I guess two friend I would count John as a friend.Oh! And the party without James this weekend.
"You've got that right." John says we all laugh.
"Crap another teacher." I say.
"And we all look suspect as fuck." I cry out.
"Ok chill I got this one." We walk pass the teacher and she stops up.
"You three arnt suppose to be out of class." The teacher says giving us a stern look. I get nervous but put all my trust in Peggy.
"Peggy wasn't feeling well we were helping her." John says scratching his neck."
"Not without a hall pass your not. Weeks detention." She said. I swear I was about to cry before Peggy interrupted.
"Actually all three of us are out on a hall pass...Nurses office." She says handing the teacher the note she stares at it for a while the hands it back to Peggy.
"Well your all listed hurry up and get where you need to be." She says.
"Yes miss." We all say and keep walking after a while we all start laughing.
"How did you do that I'm so confused." She hands me the paper and laughs.
"This is an excellent forgery." I say looking up at her and handing it back.
"Thanks this girl Veronica Swayer taught me we sue to be friends but she moved to a different school I will never stop thanking her for that." She says looking in the sky with her eyes close then laughs.
"Well you'll have to write me one of those causeeeee imma need one right now." I say laughing. Peggy writes us some passes and we head to our classes. I hesitate knowing James was in there and going it give me shit I made up a reasonable excuse in my head and walked in I give the teacher my note she accepts it and I sit back down even though there's only 5 minutes left of this period.
"Where the hell were you." James whisper yells to me.
"I'll tell you after class I promise." I whisper back yea I was nervous but I'm a great actor so for the rest of class I make small complaining noises and touch my head. Class releases and he grabs my arm and we walk outside.
"Ok class over where the hell were you." He says he lets go of my arm and I grab it.
"I wasn't feeling well and when I went to the restroom during lunch I winded up throwing up multiple times this girl names Peggy helped me to the nurses office and the nurse let me rest there for a while after giving me stupid medicine that never works and an ice pack and after a while since I stopped throwing up she said I could go but my head still hurt I think it might be a migraine." I tell him. He stares at me and then shrugs well migraines aren't that bad you'll be find he grabs my hand and we walk to our next classes I have Peggy next period thank god.
