Chapter Thirty Nine

"So, the J on your phone was actually Jasmine? Your cousin from States? You never told me about her." Mina asked for the second time to make sure of what she heard.

Y/N hummed as an answer as she buried her face on her wife's neck and sniffed Mina's scent while she gently and soothingly rubbed Mina's huge tummy.

"I did, babe. Once." Y/N admitted and snickered as Mina gasped unbelievably. "But you were too busy that you didn't even realize that I was talking to you that night." Y/N said nonchalantly but Mina fell silent after hearing that, realizing how she took her wife's kindness for granted.

After Y/N's confession earlier, they both went back to each other's arms with, of course, a long heated make-up sex. Y/N told Mina everything, including the main reason why Y/N has been going out and been glueing her face on the phone every single day was to prepare everything for Mina's birth delivery. She explained everything she has to explain to her wife and Mina's doubts and worries faded just like that.

Mina knew how much her wife means to her and she mentally slapped herself for doubting her wife. Of course, despite of what happened, she knew Y/N will never do anything to hurt her and that fact only made her regret what she did to her.

Mina hugged Y/N's body tightly, but not too tight to hurt her wife, as those wrong doings and mistake went back to her mind. She wants to be the best wife for Y/N and she wants to give back all the sacrifices Y/N did for her. She wants to love her wife more than anything in this world.

Even more than her career.

"You're quiet. What's wrong, love?" Y/N asked, as soon as she noticed Mina's silence.

Mina felt Y/N tip back and stared at her face lovingly. Mina can't help but to stared back and cupped her wife's face with one of her hands.

"Nothing. I just realized that I freakin' love you so much." Mina said earning a sweet wide smile from the latter.

Y/N mockingly gasped. "You just realized it by now?! What the hell, Mina!" Y/N playfully back away from Mina that made the latter laughed.

Mina pulled Y/N back to her and kissed the latter passionately. "I love you so much, Y/N. Don't ever forget that." Mina mumbled on her wife's lips before kissing her again.

"Bitch, you almost ruined my relationship with Mina. Now, face the consequence." Y/N said firmly as she crossed her arms above her chest and looked down at Maxine who's sitting on the couch of the living room, looking so exhausted and lonely.

"I know, but it wasn't entirely my fault! Why do I have to face the punishment?!" Maxine dramatically exclaimed out of frustration.

Karl and Y/N snickered while Mina shook her head as she sat on her wife's lap.

It's been passed three weeks when the incident happened, and until now, Maxine was facing the punishment for doubting her best friend. The punishment was given by her girlfriend, Reign.

Maxine pouted to the woman seating across her, arms crossed above her chest while looking blankly at Maxine. Reign punished Maxine by not talking to the latter for a month, that was a quite absurd but she can't do anything because Reign valued her friendship with Y/N and Karl better than anything else.

"Reign, come on! You can't just ignore me for a whole damn year!" Maxine sulked and whined.

Reign scoffed. "Try me." She challengedly stated.

"I already apologized, a hundred times even, for accusing Y/N. What else do I have to do?" Maxine asked as she glanced at Y/N.

Mina looked at Y/N with concern eyes for Maxine. She really feels sorry for Maxine but she can't do anything to help her. Reign's pride is so over the edge.
