Tiny hands wrapped themselves around alloy bars.
"What is this?" A tiny girl with bright sunny hair named Emma asked.
"It's a gate, it separates the outside from the inside." A small raven-haired boy called Ray answered her.
"We've never been outside before, have we?" A raven-haired female known as Shizuka spoke out in a tiny voice.
"Nope, that's because we were always here, at the orphanage." An albino boy called Norman answered her.
"Mama always told us to not go past the gate it is extremely dangerous," Emma finished as she stared at the humongous gate, blocking their view of the outside world.
"That's obviously a lie." Ray bluntly chirped.
"Ray, what do you wanna do when you get adopted and go outside?" Emma asked Ray with a curious tone in her voice.
"Hm, I dunno, what do you wanna do, Emma?" Ray asked the sunshine girl instead.
"I wanna ride a giraffe!" Emma brightly announced.
Shizuka gave the girl a closed eye smile.
"Good luck," Ray told her.
"I wonder, what's this gate really protecting us from," Norman said, looking back at the gate.
Shizuka nodded in agreement, then looked back at the house behind the children.
