Pretty in Pink ~ San

Chapter 2

That next morning, I got a random call from a local Korean number. I changed my SIM card to a Korean one so I can save my friends' numbers. Well, anyways, I was hesitant to answer the call, but then I just decided to. On the other end was a women saying,
"안녕하세요. KQ엔터테인먼트 대표입니다. 우리는 당신을 우리 회사에 공개 오디션을 보러 초대하고 싶습니다. 관심 있으면 가능한 한 빨리 연락 주세요."(Hello, this is a representative from KQ Entertainment. We would like to invite you to our company for an open audition. Please get back to us as soon as possible if you are interested)
"어떤 종류의 오디션이죠?" I asked(What type of audition?)
"저희 아티스트 에이티즈 뮤직 비디오의 게스트 스타를 위한 공개 오디션입니다." She said(An open audition, ma'am, to guest star in our artist, ATEEZ's music video)
"당신 진심인가요? 물론 관심이 있습니다. 가능한 한 빨리 갈 수 있어요." I said(Are you serious? Of course I'm interested. I can come as soon as possible)
I would totally ditch my classes today if it means auditioning to be in a music video with ATEEZ.
"네, 고객님, 저희가 다시 전화를 드려야 할 경우 연락드릴 수 있는 번호를 남겨주세요. 당신의 관심에 감사해요." She said(Okay, ma'am please leave us a number with which we can contact you if we need to call you back. Thank you for your interest)

I finished the call with the representative from KQ Entertainment. When we finished the call, I am set to audition for the music video tomorrow. Wow, I think San was the one who made this possible. I think he may have told this rep about me, and that's how they contacted me. I can't wait to go over to KQ Entertainment and see what this audition is all about. The whole day goes by and by the next morning, I am ready, but nervous to head into my audition at KQ Entertainment today. Usually, this company only has trainees that are training to become K-pop idols, but this is the first time they're holding auditions for extras to be in one of ATEEZ's music videos.

I walk into the building, take the elevator up, and head into the audition room. Looks like they're holding auditions in this practice room type place. I walk into the audition room and ask them what I need to do.
"Would you like to speak English or Korean? Which are you most comfortable with?" One of the judges asked.
"English, please." I said.
"Okay, here is your script. Just act as naturally as possible." Another judge said.
"Alright." I said.
I take a look at the script and start reading it, acting out what is I brackets. I have never trained or acted professionally, so this is a new experience for me. Once I finished reading the script, the judges look happy with my performance. Then, they tell me that I have passed the first audition perfectly. After this, there are a couple more initial auditions that I need to pass, that will be later on as I pass the others.

When I leave KQ Entertainment, I'm sent a text right away, giving me all the information on the remaining auditions. I read through the time line and familiarize myself with the schedule. Once I'm finished reading through my schedule for my music video shoot with ATEEZ, I'm getting more excited because this means I get to meet the rest of the members of ATEEZ. San didn't give me too many details because I'll soon find these things out for myself on set.

*2 Weeks Later*
Today, it is the day I film with ATEEZ for their newest comeback music video. I show up on set and the first thing that the director gives me is the script. I must memorize it today. We will be doing a reading of the script and doing rehearsals for the music video. All the extras for this music video need to learn the choreography of the song as well. As I was reading the script, I came across the title of my role: ATEEZ Love Interest. Is that really my role in the music video?

I go to the director to clarify that this is really my role.
"Director, PD-nim, is this really my role?" I asked.
"Yes. I heard from one of the members that you are perfect for the role." The director said.
"Which member?" I asked.
"Choi San." The director said.
Oh. . . Of course he would do this. I need to find him now. I walk out of the room to go find San. Then, I find him in the practice room where the other members are practicing the choreography. I knock on the door and Hongjoong opens it.
"Uh, hey. I need to talk to San." I said.
"Okay, come right in. Hey, are you the girl who plays our love interest?" Hongjoong asked.
"Yeah, that's what I wanted to talk to him about." I said.
"Hey~ how is our lovely, 여자 친 doing?" San asked(여자친 = girlfriend)
"Stop~ Is this really my role in the music video?" I asked.
"Of course. I think it suits you." San said.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yup. You haven't even seen what you're gonna wear yet. . ." San said.
"What am I wearing?" I asked.
"I'll show you, follow me." San said.
"Okay. . ." I said.

San leads me into the dressing room. He shows me to what I will be wearing in the music video. All my outfits are hanging on a rack, and they include a matching concept outfit for when all the extras join in for the dance break portion. Then, he shows me the main outfit of the music  video; a school girl outfit. Looks like the music video will be a school concept. Wow, this is so cool. I think I'll like being the love interest in this music video now. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
