I knew it. I knew from the second Hermione stood up in The Three Broomsticks that this was going to happen.

Harry Potter's Secret Heartache
A Devastating Love Square

A boy like no other, perhaps - yet a boy suffering all the usual pangs of adolescence, writes Rita Skeeter.

She waffles on about Harry's tragic story for a while before viciously attacking Hermione.

Miss Granger, a plain but ambitious girl, seems to have a knack for stringing people along cruelly. It's now well-known at Hogwarts she's in a relationship with another girl! But before this, she bewitched (not literally) Harry Potter and Viktor Krum. How did her lover (whom is rumoured to be quite a violent girl) react to seeing Krum pull Miss Granger out of the lake as the thing he'd miss most? Why did Miss Granger use these boys when she prefers her own gender?

"Quite a violent girl." George snorts and Fred chokes on his drink.

"Yeah guys, don't you know," I say flatly, "I'm a physco."

"Did you know Hermione was invited to Bulgaria over the summer by Krum?" Fred asks me, showing me the next page of the article.

"Yeah, she told me. Dunno how Skeeter found out though."

Hermione seems relatively unbothered by the news that she's outed to the whole wizarding world.

"It's fine, my parents don't read the Prophet, and I couldn't care less if Margaret down the road finds out." She shrugs as we repot some very vicious plants in Herbology, "The most important thing is she hasn't printed your name."

"Yet." I point out.

After a few apologies from Hermione (even though I kept saying it was fine), who has to do something with Harry and Ron, I join up with the twins and Ginny in The Three Broomsticks.

Rita Skeeter sits in the corner and I quickly divert us into another table.

"Why do you think she didn't print your name?" Ginny asks as she sits down with a Butterbeer.

"No clue, there's no way she doesn't know. Maybe she thinks it's a bit extreme to out someone to their family? Cos Hermione's parents won't read it will they. Who knows."

"I'm confused as to how she even found out."

"I'm sure someone from Hogwarts told her. Maybe that Xavier guy. I'd say Pansy, but apparently she didn't know, fawning over Draco so much at the ball she didn't even notice."

We drink and talk while I try to ignore her, but I'm pretty sure she's looking over here. When we get up to leave, she looks like she's going to talk to us, so I hurry us away.

"What's her problem, honestly." Fred grumbles, looking over his shoulder at the back of her harshly twisted curls.

"She just likes gossip, and she likes to spread as much as she can to keep her status. Nobody knows how she does it."

Rita Skeeter's take on Hermione blows over pretty quickly, considering we already made some kind of debut for our relationship.
