Chapter 15

It was such a hectic day. Pursuing the possible witness was very tiring. May iba kasing natatakot at baka madamay sila sa gulo, may iba naman na bukal sa loob na pumapayag dahil husto nilng tumulong.

I lay down on the sofa inside my office. Tinakpan ko ang aking mata gamit ang aking braso. Gusto ko na sanang umuwi kaso may mga gagawin pa ako dito. Though it can be done tomorrow, but why do it next time when I can do it now? I just need a little bit of a rest then I can go back to work.

I heard a soft knock on the door.

"Celine, mamaya ka nalang pumasok. I want to rest." sigaw ko habang nakatakip pa rin ang braso sa aking mata.

Bumukas pa rin ang pinto. The footsteps sound was getting nearer.

Narinig kong may tumkhim. "I was planning to ask you out on a date."

Kinuha ko ang aking braso at nakita si Cyan na nakatayo sa gilid ko. "And why would you do that?"

"Because it's part of me courting to you." he said in a matter-of-fact tone.

Nirolyohan ko siya ng mata. "And I told you no, Mr. Adella."

"I really hate it when you call me that. Makes me feel old." tumawa siya. "Sugar, courting doesn't need appraoval."

"Paano mo nasabi? Marami ka na bang niligawan noon ha?" tanong ko sa masungit na tono.

He chuckled on my statement. "Sugar, baka nakakalimutan mo. I was gay before we got married."

Oo nga pala.

"Whatever. Umalis ka na nga. I'm so tired from work to entertain you, Mr. Adella." ani ka at tinakpan ulit ang mata ko.

"Sugar, please get up. Your breast is more visible when you lay down." sabi nito at hinila ang kamay ko. There, better."

Tiningnan ko siya sa mata ng masama. "What do you want, Mr. Adella?"

"What I want? I want you to be mine, I want to own you. I want to touch you, kiss you, hug you, and many more, sugar." sabi niya at ngumiti ng matamis. "But for now, I want you to eat with me."

Inirapan ko siya. "That's not how a suitor is supposed to act."

"Then do you want me to serenade you every night and bring you flowers, sugar?" my cheeks reddened in excitement from the thoughts of it. "I'll do that then."

"I didn't said yes." masungit kong turan.

"I do whatever I want, sugar." hinila niya ako patayo. "And I want you to eat with me. So let's go."

Hinila ko pabalik ang kamay ko. "Cyan, I said no. No is a no."

He looked at me sadly that made my heart broke. "Okay."

Akmang aalis na ito ay agad ko siyang pinigilan. Maybe I was a little bit harsh to him.

I can't understand my feelings. Gusto ko siyang makapiling muli pero ayaw ko ring masaktan katulad ng dati.

"Cyan, wait up. Oo na, kakain na tayo." pigil ko sa kaniya.

Ngumiti siya sa akin ng malunkot. "It's okay. You don't have to force yourself to eat with me."

Kaagad akong nakaramdam ng guilt. Ano ba ang nangyayari sa akin?

"Shut up and let's go." hinila ko siya palabas ng opisina. "Celine, wala na akong appointment ngayon hindi ba?" umiling naman siya. "Thanks, I will go now. Bye."

I saw Cyan smirked when I turned to him. Inirapan ko siya bago hinila siya ulit palabas ng firm.

"I like it when you hold my hand." kumento niya ng makarating kami sa parking lot.
