Chapter 4

Jess POV

Justin walked towards me and before I knew it his lips were on mine. I tried to push him off of me but he wouldn't move. I saw Paul standing there with a devestated expression and I finally managed to push Justin off of me.

Paul ran down the hallway. "Paul wait!" I called after him. I slapped Justin and ran after Paul. By the time I got outside he was already inside his house. I ran to his front door and knocked. A momen later Paul's mum opened the door. "Hello Jess" she said smiling at me. "Hey Mrs Zimmer. Can I please talk to Paul?" I asked. "Sure he just went up to his room" she replied. "Thanks" I said. I went upstairs and knocked on Paul's bedroom door. "Come in" he said. I walked into his room. When he looked at me he had that same expression as before. "Get out" he said. "Please let me explain" I begged. "I thought you liked me" he said. "Paul I do like you. A lot" I said. "Well you clearly don't" he said. "Well you clearly didn't see the whole thing" I said. He rolled his eyes. "Just leave. And don't talk to me again" he said. "Really?" I asked. My eyes filled with tears. He nodded. Tears spilled over my eyes as I left the room.

"Jess are you ok?" Mrs Zimmer asked. "I'm fine" I sniffled before leaving the house. I broke down when I got outside. I slowly walked back to my house. "Jess are you ok?" Lani asked. "You fu*king d!ckhead!" I yelled at Justin. He was leaning against the wall looking pleased with himself. I punched him and slapped him until Lani held my arms back. "What the hell is going on with you two?" She asked. "That idiot kissed me and now Paul hates me" I sobbed. Lani's grip loosened and I started hitting Justin again. "If you ever talk to me again I swear I will murder you" I growled at Justin. He must've known I was serious because he got his stuff and left.

I started crying again after he left. "He hates me now" I sobbed. "Jess if Paul didn't trust you then maybe he wasn't the right guy for you" Lani said hugging me. "Do you want me to stay tonight?" She asked. I shook my head. "We have school tomorrow" I said. I cried for a bit longer but eventually stopped. "Are you going to be alright?" Lani asked. "I'll be fine" I said. "I should get going. Call me if you need to" Lani said. I nodded and then she left.

I went up to my room and had a shower and then got into bed. I cried myself to sleep.

~next day~

I woke up to my annoying alarm. I hit the snooze button and rolled out of bed. I slowly got into my school uniform and then I brushed my hair and did my makeup. I went downstairs to get something to eat.

I looked outside and saw that Paul's car wasn't there. I sighed and texted Lani asking if she could pick me up. She got to my house a little while later and I got into the car. "You were crying after I left weren't you?" She asked. I nodded. "He's not worth it. If any boy makes you cry then he's not worth it" she said hugging me. "Thanks Lani" I said. She smiled at me and we drove to school.

When we got out of the car I saw Paul walking towards the building. I felt my eyes fill with tears. "Jess remember he doesn't deserve you. Don't let him see you crying over him" she said. I blinked back the tears and we went to class. It was so hard not to talk to him but I knew I had to stay away. At least for a little while.

The lesson seemed to drag on and on but eventually the bell rang. I went to my next class which was with Justin. He tried to talk to me but I put the finger up at him an he left me alone.

Lani POV

I was walking to class when I saw Paul and Brittany making out in the courtyard. I stormed over to him and pushed Brittany away from him. "What the hell Lani" Paul said. "How could you do that?" I asked. "What?" He asked. "You broke Jess's heart" I said. "Well she kissed Justin so..." Paul said trailing off. "He kissed her you idiot" I said. "What?" He asked looking shocked. "Justin...kissed...Jess" I said slowly. "I'm such an idiot" Paul said. "I've been trying to tell you that" I said. He glared at me. "Thanks" he said. I nodded and ran to class.
