Chapter 2

Jessica POV

I ran to get the door and saw a couple of my other friends from school. "Hey guys come in" I said. We went to my room and they put their sleeping bag and stuff on the floor near my door. "Paul do you want to sleep over tonight? Lani and Justin are staying" I said. "Sure but I didn't bring anything" he said. "You can sleep in my bed" I said. "I don't have any clothes though" he said. "Just wear your boxers to bed and I'll put your clothes in the washing machine" I said. "Ok" he agreed. I grinned at him.

"How about we have showers and I'll order a pizza and then we get this sleep over started" I said. "I'm using the shower first" Lani said grabbing her stuff and running into my bathroom. I laughed at her and ordered the pizzas. "Can I have a shower next?" I asked. Justin and Paul nodded and I went to get my pj's. I got a pair of shorts with little Eiffel towers all over them and purple silk ribbon around the bottom and then I just found a purple tank top to go with it.

Lani got out of the shower and I got in. I washed my hair with my favourite raspberry cocanut scented shampoo and conditioner. I shaved my legs and all that stuff and I then go out of the shower. "I wish I was strong enough to lift not one but both of us, one day I will be strong enough to lift not one but both of us" I sang. I got dressed and brushed my long dark brown hair and put it into a high ponytail.

I walked out of the bathroom just as the doorbell rang. I opened the door and it was the pizza guy. I paid and then took the pizzas up to my room. "Dinner is served" I said after I opened all of the boxes. We ate hungrily and soon all three pizzas were gone. "I'm going to have a shower" Paul said. I threw out the pizza boxes and went back up to my room. I found Paul sitting on my bed in just his boxers.

"I wasn't sure where to put my clothes so I just put them on the floor" Paul said. I was finding it hard to concentrate because I kept looking at his abs. "I'll go put them in the wash" I said. I picked up his clothes and went to put them in the washing machine. When I got back to my room Justin walked out of the bathroom. "Can we play truth or dare?" Lani asked. "I don't mind" I said. Everyone else agreed so we sat in a circle and started playing.

"Jess truth or dare?" Lani asked. "Dare" I decided. "I dare you to sit in Paul's lap for the rest of the game" she said. I stood on my knees and sat in Paul's lap. He rested his hand on my thigh and we continued playing. "Justin truth or dare?" I asked. "Truth" he said. "If you had to make out with anyone in this room who would it be?" I asked. "Paul" he said. Paul started to choke on his drink. I turned to face him and started patting his back. "I was joking" Justin said, "I would choose Lani". I nodded and it was Justin's turn.

"Paul truth or dare?" Justin asked. "Dare" Paul said. "Kiss Jess for ten seconds" he said. This time it was me who started choking. Lani started laughing and I glared at her. After I recovered I looked around. Justin was looking at us. "What?" Paul asked. "Your dare" he said. "Oh yeah" Paul said. I turned around and looked at Paul. He started to lean in and a second later I felt his soft lips on mine for the second time today. After a few seconds he pulled away.

We played for a bit longer and then we watched some movies. By the time the last one finished it was 2 o'clock and Lani and Justin were asleep. I turned off the tv and my room was pitch black. After my eyes adjusted I rolled onto my side and looked at Paul.

"Are you tired?" I asked. "Not really" Paul replied. "Me either" I said. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable this afternoon" Paul said. "You didn't make me uncomfortable Paul" I said. "Are you sure?" He asked. I nodded and gave him a hug which was hard to do because we were both on our sides so I just sort of scooted over to him and put one of my arms around him.

He hugged me back and pulled me closer to him. We were so close that our legs were intertwined and our chests were touching. I unwrapped my arm from Paul and took my hair out of the ponytail. But somehow when I moved my arm I elbowed Paul in the face. "I'm so sorry" I whispered. "It's fine" he said. "Did I hurt you?" I asked. "A little bit but it's fine" he said. "Where did I hurt you?" I asked. "My lip's numb" he said. I wrapped my arm around him again. "Anywhere else?" I asked. "No" he replied. I put my lips to his and soon he kissed me back. I put my hand on the back of his head so he couldn't get away. Paul put his hand on my waist and pulled me closer to him. I felt his tongue swipe across my bottom lip and I opened my mouth. His tongue explored every inch of my mouth. I weaved my fingers through his silky hair.

I felt his finger tips go under the side of my tank top. He started to kiss my neck and his hand started getting higher up my shirt. "Paul stop" I whispered breathlessly. He immediately pulled away. "Sorry" he said. "It's ok. Is your lip feeling better?" I asked. "Better than it did before you whacked it" he said. "I'm glad I could help" I said. I was blushing like crazy and I'm glad it was dark.

"Question for a question?" Paul asked. I nodded. "When was your first kiss Jess?" Paul asked me. "Today" I said. I saw Paul smile. "Do you like anyone?" I asked. Paul nodded. "Who?" I asked. "I don't wanna say" Paul said. "Please? I won't laugh. I promise" I said. "I just don't know how you'll react" he said. "Well there's only one way to find out" I said. "I guess so" he replied. "So who is it?" I asked. "You" he replied quietly. I went silent. "I knew you would react like this" he said moving away from me and facing the other way.
