Chapter 5

Jess POV

I sat on my bed doing homework when my phone buzzed. I looked at it and saw it was a message from Paul. 'I'm sorry' it said. I smiled and then heard a knock on the front door. I ran downstairs and opened it. I saw a sticky note that said 'look under the park bench'. Next to it was a bunch of red roses. I quickly ran inside and put the roses in water then I put on some shoes.

I walked to the park and went straight to the park bench. Under it was another note that said 'we're going to play a game. Take 100 steps forward and then 34 steps left'. I laughed and followed the instructions. I ended up at the bridge. On the railing was another sticky note. 'Cross the bridge and go to the edge of the forest'. I picked up the note and went to the edge of the forest.

I found a note on a tree. 'Look what I did yesterday. Go to the bus stop' I looked at the trunk of the tree and it had PZ ❤ JS carved into it. I quickly walked to the bus stop. There was a note on the sign. I picked it up and read it. 'Get on bus 602 and sit in the first window seat on the left side'. I waited ten minutes for the bus and got on. I sat where he told me and then I saw a note stuck to the window.

'Get off at the first stop and then go to the big playground'. I did as instructed and looked around. I found a note on the slide. 'Look up'. I looked up and saw Paul standing on the second level of the playground. He was holing a piece of paper that said 'give me another chance?' I sprinted up the ramps to wear Paul was. I jumped onto him and wrapped my legs around his waist. I kissed him passionately. "I'm sorry I didn't give you a chance to explain" he said. "That's ok. Did Lani talk to you today?" I asked. He nodded. He set me on my feet and we walked away hand in hand.

"What do you want to do?" I asked. "I don't know" Paul said. "Do you want to go back to my place?"I asked. Paul nodded and we started walking home.
