Chapter 13

Jess POV

I woke up in the morning and got dressed into the outfit that I chose last night. My flight wasn't until lunch time so I was going to do a little shopping before I left.

"Morning" Paul said. I ignored him and looked out the window. Great, it was pouring rain. I sighed and got a jacket out of my suitcase.

"I'm going out" I said. "Ok" Paul said, "I'm still really sorry". I nodded and left the room. I got into the elevator and leaned against the wall. I knew Paul was sorry but there was no way I was ready to even think about forgiving him. The elevator dinged and the doors opened.

I walked outside and stood under the awning and waited for the rain to ease up a bit. After waiting for at least 10 minutes I pulled up my good and made a run for it. I ran passed people and to the mall that was only about 5 minutes away.

I looked around at the shops for a while and bought some new clothes and shoes and makeup and then I decided to make my way back to the hotel. The rain wasn't quite as heavy as it was earlier so I didn't have to run.

I passed many people on the way back but I freaked out when someone grabbed my arm. "Let me go" I said. I turned around and saw that it was Paul. "What do you want Paul?" I asked.

"Jessica Olivia Stone, I love you more than anyone and anything in the whole world. I know I majorly fucked up and if you let me I will spend the rest of my life trying to make it up to you. I honestly have no idea what I was thinking when I did what I did and I'm so sorry. I've never been more sorry about anything in my entire life. Please take me back Jess. I love you so much" Paul said.

It was kind of hard to tell because we were in the rain but it looked like he was crying. "I forgive you" I said. Paul's face lit up and he kissed me. So this is what kissing in the rain is like. I can cross that off my bucketlist.

We walked around for a while and then got some food. I texted dad and told him that I was going to stay for the rest of the trip. "Do you realise that we're never going to be the same now?" I asked. "I know" Paul sighed, "But I'm going to do everything I can to get it as close to how it used to be".

I smiled and put my head on Paul's shoulder. Paul started playing with my hair. I was glad that we had made up. Even though it wasnt going to be the same as it used to be I still loved Paul so much.

"What are we going to do for the rest of the day?" Paul asked me. "I don't know, what is there to do here?" I asked. "We could go to the beach" Paul suggested. "But it's winter and its raining" I pointed out. "Then that means that there won't be any people there" Paul said smiling. "Fine but if I get sick, be prepared for days of whinging and complaining" I said. Paul laughed and shook his head.

We walked back to the hotel to get changed into our bathers. I put on a pink Abercrombie & Fitch bikini that I bought while I was with Danny and then I put on a pair of shorts and a T-shirt over the top. I picked up one of Paul's hoodies and put it on in case I got cold.

Paul put on some shorts and a shirt and then got some towels. I found a bag to put them in and then put on some flip flops.

"You ready to go?" Paul asked after he put on some shoes. "Yep" I said smiling. We left the hotel and got into a cab. "Where to guys?" the driver asked. "The beach" Paul said. The driver looked at us strangely but started driving. "So how are you liking Maryland?" Paul asked me. "It's awesome. I don't see how you could leave" I said honestly.

"Carter wanted to know if we wanted to go over for dinner tonight" Paul said. "Sure" I replied. I love Paul's family. I would've loved to have a big family like his. "Guess what" I said. "What?" Paul replied. "It's Christmas next week" I said grinning. "Well I guess we have some shopping to do" Paul said smiling at me. I nodded in agreement.
