Chapter 8

Jessica POV

We left Paul's place half an hour before his parents were getting home so it looked like we had been at school all day. There was still 45 minutes until school finished so we just went to the mall.

"What do you want to do?" I asked. "We should get food" Paul said. I nodded and we walked to the food court hand in hand. We went to KFC and I'm pretty sure Paul ordered like half the menu. "Jess what do you want?" Paul asked me. "Babe I think you're going to eat enough for the both of us" I said. "Jess you're getting something" he said sternly. I sighed and ordered a burger.

We got our food and sat down at a table. "I hate you for making me eat this" I said. "Jess you need to eat otherwise you'll starve to death" he said. "That doesn't make me like you any more right now" I said. "Sweetie please don't be mad at me" Paul said. I smiled at him and he grinned because he knew that I couldn't stay mad at him.

We walked around for a bit longer until we decided that it was time to go home. Paul drove me home like he usually does and then he stayed for a bit longer.

Dad and Rose weren't home yet so we decided to hang out in my room. "Do you want to watch a movie?" I asked. "Sure" Paul said settling down on my bed. I walked over to the TV and decided to put on the Lorax. I sat next to Paul and put my head on his shoulder.

We watched the movie and surprisingly Paul didn't fall asleep. "I'm really surprised you didn't fall asleep" I said. "I used to watch stuff like this all the time with Dominic" he said. "Aww! That's so cute" I said running my hand through his hair. "Come here" Paul said. I moved closer to him but then he picked me up and put me on his lap.

I put my head in the curve of his neck and he stroked my hair. "Jess!" Dad called. "I'm in my room" I said putting some space between me and Paul. "Hey guys" Dad said. "Hey dad" I said. "Hey Will" Paul said. "What have you guys been doing?" Dad asked. "We were just watching a movie" I said. Dad nodded and walked away. "You should ask him about coming to America" Paul said.

I nodded and jumped off my bed and ran out of my room to find dad. "Dad can I talk to you?" I asked. He nodded and looked at me. "I was wondering if maybe I could go to America with Paul for Christmas" I said quickly. "I don't know" dad said. Paul appeared beside me and decided to join in. "I wanted Jess to meet the rest of my family and my friends and my mom said she was ok with it" Paul said. "I'll talk to your mother about it but I guess it'll be alright" he said. I screamed and hugged dad. He laughed and hugged me.

"Let's go back to your place so my dad can talk to your mum" I said. "Ok" Paul said. We got in the car and drove back to Paul's place.

There was a very long discussion but all was arranged and I was going to America for Christmas.

"You need to come shopping with me now" I said to Paul. "Why?" He asked. "Because I need to buy new clothes and I don't know what to wear over there" I said. "Ok" Paul said. "We're going to go shopping. We'll be back later" I said. We went back to the mall and we went into heaps of different clothes stores.

"What kind of stuff will I need?" I asked. "Warm stuff" Paul said. "Wow, very helpful" I said sarcastically. "Just try stuff on and I'll say yes or no" he said. "Ok" I replied and we went into another store. I looked around an picked up multiple pairs of jeans and jackets and long sleeved shirts and ten went to try them on.

I got everything I tried on and we went into Peter Alexander to get pyjamas. I picked out a fluffy hoodie that had little ears on the hood and then pyjamas that went with it. I got a few pairs of ugg boots and some more pyjamas.

"Do you think I've got enough stuff now?" I asked. I was carrying at least ten bags and Paul was carrying a few for me as well. "Yep and if you run out of stuff then you can buy more stuff when we're there" Paul said. "I'm so excited" I said. "Me too" Paul said kissing the top of my head.

I'm so sorry that it took me so long to upload this. I had major writer's block and I've had heaps of exams and assignments to do.
