Your povI can't believe it... there's a ghost in my house... a real ghost... he... talked to me...
Alone I lay in my bed, staring up at the darkened ceiling. There was no sleep in sight for me at this point. Mikey Way, a ghost, lived in my house. I was wide awake, playing over what had just happened, over and over again in my mind. He's a ghost... a ghost in my house...
Then, a slight chill was felt in the room. I gazed towards the door, knowing it had to be him. Quietly, I waited for him to say something, anything. But I got nothing.
"Mikey...?" I whispered.
"Oh, did I wake you? I'm so sorry..." He spoke.
"No, I was already awake..." I'm talking to a ghost... a ghost in my house...
"What're you doing in here?" I asked.
"I just... I don't wanna be alone right now. But, I'll go if you want..."
"No! You can stay. I don't mind."
"Thank you..."
"No problem..." The room became quiet for about a minute before he started talking again.
"Y/n?" He asked, I hummed, "Is it really, the year 2004?"
"Yeah..."
"Am I stuck here?"
"I dunno..."
"I'm scared. I know I shouldn't be. I'm a soldier. No fear. But I can't help it."
"Everyone is scared of something. It's okay, this is a scary situation."
"Sure ain't anything they taught us in the army."
"Mikey, if you ever wanna talk about this stuff, you can always come to me. I can help you through this."
"Thank you, but I won't need it. Us soldiers are supposed to be tough."
"Dude, talking to someone doesn't make you weak. It's a tool to get stronger," I sighed, "I forget that you're from a different time. Things are a lot different now. You won't be torn down for showing emotions here. I promise."
"I already cried my eyes out in your bathroom. It's not exactly, army material, to cry."
"Even at a time like this?" I asked.
"Yeah, especially at a time like this. I'm supposed to be a man. Keep it all in." Toxic masculinity...
"That's not how it is here. You can cry all ya want," I yawned,"Do whatever ya want."
"Okay, uhm, could I... get a hug?" He asked.
"Yeah, I dunno where you're at though." I sat up in bed, gazing around, trying to track where his voice came from.
"I'll come to you..." Then, this invisible blanket of cold wrapped around me. I knew it was Mikey. My body began to shiver. He pulled away, realizing this, "I'm sorry..."
"No, it's okay..." The room went quiet as I yawned once more. I climbed underneath the now very warm sheets, feeling drowsy, "Mikey?" I asked while yawning.
"Yeah?"
"Goodnight..."
"Goodnight..." And within seconds I was fast asleep.
When I awoke the next morning, the room felt warmer than before. Slowly, I got up out of bed, and into the bathroom where I got ready for the day. Once I was finished, I walked downstairs into the kitchen, which was fairly cold.
