---read the author note at the end, I explain some things---

"What happened?" I mumbled. I slowly sat up and looked around me. "oh no..." I was inside my own mind. Again.

"Hello, young lady." I quickly jumped up and whirled around. A bald man was walking towards me.

"Who are you and why are you in my mind?" I said quietly. I was tired and worn down. I didn't have time to play mind games with some cocky Psychic.

"How did you know you were in your mind and not mine?" The man said. He seemed genuinely confused and I couldn't help but smirk.

"Ok. One, I've been here before, and two, I am the only one I know of who's mind contains these." I said, gesturing to MANY isle of filing cabinets. What can I say? I'm a neat freak.

He suddenly glanced around and seemed to just notice the cabinets.
"Why do you-?"

"I just do!" I shouted, interrupting him.
Oh great. I lost my temper. " Ok fine. You want to know? I'll show you."

I lead the way towards one of the many drawers of the cabinets. "Just, don't show fear. They can tell if you're afraid and they feed on it,makes them stronger."

I gently opened the cabinet drawer and pulled out a large box. The box was a dark shade with red lines going everywhere and it seemed to pulse. On it was a face of a young girl with dark red hair.

I gently unlocked the box and lifted the lid.

Bam!

The bald man fell down as what was inside rushed out of the box and barreled into him. I quickly helped him up and stared after the thing flying away past my sorting cabinets.

"Great!" I muttered."Now I have to catch her again."

" What was that?" The man asked.

"It was a mutant ability. Couldn't you tell?" I answered. The man had a confused look on his face and I sighed. "Everytime I look someone in the eyes I get a new power, their power. At first I couldn't control all of the rampaging powers. Because, you see, a mutant power is limited by the mutant that possess' it. Without the the mutant that was born to wield it, it mutates itself. Only a little bit. But enough to think on its own. They were, at first, angry that they were bottled up in my mind and sook a way out. Or, a way to take control of me. I won't describe how or what I went through to keep them in check. All you need to know is that I can sometimes come back in mine own mind, and let one out to use. Though very rarely have I accomplished or needed to accomplish this. Now, please help me catch that run away power." As soon as I finished explaining my curse I ran after the power. Pounding steps behind me told me that the man was following.

The run-away power somehow made it out of my neat and orderly side of my mind and made its way into my memories.

"What is this part of your mind?!" The man called up to me. Since I was obviously faster I was way ahead of him so I nearly didn't catch what he said.

"We are in the side where I keep my memories!" I called back. "This side is much more complex so you will need to stay closer to me, or else you will get lost in my maze of memories!" I stopped and waited for the man to catch up and then continued, this time walking.

"How do you know I will get lost here?" He asked. He cautiously looked around trying to see past the haze that had enveloped us.

"It's happened before." I mumbled back. With that said the man stayed quiet.

"What's your name?" I asked after we walked for what seemed like hours.

"Charles, Charles Exavier."he replied. "And what is yours?"
