Narrator's pov

The room stilled as Evening-star's eyes went from a deep blue to dark silver and her whole body tensed as she faced Sabertooth.

Sabertooth, seemingly oblivious to her obvious tension, just kept on walking toward the door. Barely glancing her way.

Quick as a flash, Evening-star's demeanor changed and she suddenly snarled in Sabertooth's direction and leapt toward him, unsheathing her claws as she went.

"You aren't getting away from me this time, bub!" She growled as Sabertooth was caught by surprise and was knocked down from the impact.

Scarlet Witch whispered to Polaris "Sister, if she has the claws like Wolverine then you can subdue her with your magnetism. I will take care of Sabertooth while you take care of the girl." She then preceded to walk toward the two snarling, attacking mutants.(Authors Note: Polaris is the green haired girl in the picture on the previous chapter. She's Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver's little sister.)

"You scared, bub?" Evening-star mocked, as Sabertooth kept dodging her attacks. Her voice had changed somewhat and she sounded more like Wolverine every second.

Her attacks were swift and controlled and they all involved her adamantium claws.

Polaris had, by now, gotten behind a pillar and signaled Scarlet Witch that she was ready.

Getting the signal, Scarlet Witch raised her hands and cast a spell that caused Sabertooth to go flying up into the air, out of reach of Evening-star.

Polaris then used her magnetic abilities to cause Evening-star's claws to go back in and her body to be thrown onto a pillar opposite the one she was behind.

As Scarlet Witch let Sabertooth down, Evening-star was yelling profanities at him that made everyone think of Wolverine.

"What is with her? She wasn't like this at all earlier!" Quicksilver said as the mutants got together by Magnito's throne to discuss how to deal with Evening-star.

"She wasn't?! Then what happened between now and then!" Polaris asked.

"I think something happened to her before she even got here and seeing Sabertooth triggered something. I mean, she WAS with the X-Men before we got her. Right Dad?" Questioned Scarlet Witch.

"She's acting like Wolverine would act if he saw Sabertooth." Polaris added.

"What's her power, Father? Did she somehow get Wolverine's? Or did something else happen?" Scarlet Witch asked.

"I don't know. That was one of the things I was going to ask her. I only know that she can take others' powers, but I don't know the details or how that works!" Magnito yelled, frustrated with himself for not asking sooner.

"Well we're going to have to figure SOMETHING out because she looks ticked!" Quicksilver stated, backing away from a thrashing and positively murderous looking Evening-star.

"I think I know how to deal with her..." Scarlet Witch said, trailing off as she walked toward Evening-star.

Evening-star's pov

The darkness soon cleared and I found myself within my own mind once again. Though this time, it was a new place I never explored before.

The room had a large cage sitting in the corner with the bars broken and sliced in half.
