I think that hate is such a fascinating emotion.

It is something that is more complex than it seems in my opinion.

I cannot notice if I truly hate anyone but I can notice when I feel annoyed or when I feel uncomfortable with someone.

It may be good to know that when a person expresses that they feel angry or annoyed in your presence and speak to you harshly, it doesn't always mean that that person hates you.

In fact, one bad event rarely makes a person express a negative emotion (sadness or anger).

It is often multiple events and is also stress.

When people are feeling stressed out or fatigued, they may say things that they don't really mean. They may become more sensitive to the environment and become emotionally affected by anyone or anything.

On the other hand, the person can hate you more than anyone and anything and that might not even be your fault!

Don't feel bad.

There are many reasons why a person might hate you.

1) You might have directly or indirectly done something which negatively affected them.

2) Misconceptions that they may have of you

3) Any rumors that may have been told to that person

4) Your personalities clash (This is often the case for me)

5) You probably can't help but ask people lots of questions to the point of annoyance/irritation (also me oops)

6) You were probably too silent, making them think that you don't want to speak to them or spend time with them.

7) First impressions weren't so good.

8) They want you to be biased towards them in their favor (calling that loyalty) instead of staying neutral or on the path of the truth.

Many many many reasons.

It is far more difficult to hate someone when you can truly understand them.
Truly understanding is also called empathy, as empathy could only be had when you truly understand the other person.
The attempt to understand can be called love.
Thus, love and hate are on the same coin but are on opposite sides, the outline of the coin being the thin line between the two; love and hate.

But what is the opposite of love?
It cannot be mere hatred because when you love someone, you are still able to hate some aspects of them. You are able to do this because you care.
Caring combines the love and hatred into one.

What then must be the opposite of love?
It must be something that entails not caring.
It must be something neutral.
Thus, the opposite of love is indifference, not hate.

The opposite of love is indifference.
