I said to my mother, father and sister that I first wanted to put on clothes and after I did that I would come to the ground floor. So I opened my wardrobe to find some cute clothes I could wear on my birthday. After standing there for fifteen minutes I picked a black, loose skirt - not too long, not too short - with a blue blouse with medium sleeves.

I went downstairs and when I arrived in the kitchen my friends were already waiting there.

"Finally, what where you doing? It took so long," Grace said.

"You know I can't hurry, so don't blame me," I answered.

"Only because it's your birthday."

"That sounds fair."

"Well speaking of birthdays..." Liz continued, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!"

"Indeed, happy birthday!", Grace and Jennifer said in unison.

"Now, I'm the only one that's still sixteen," Jen added.

"Don't complain about it, your birthday is in less than a month," I answered.

"That's true," she answered.

"I.. No I'm not going to say it," I responded.

"You're allowed to say it because it's your birthday," Grace said with a chuckle.

"Okay, I'm always right," I said and smirked, "To be honest I didn't expect you here. Espacially not this early in the morning."

"We had to do something special," Jen said.

"Haha, I thought you all were going to be too busy with talking about the janoskians."

"And forget your birthday," Lisa said shocked, "NEVER!"

"Well, let's eat this delicious birthday cake," my family joined us.

"That's an excellent idea," Grace answered. So we ate the whole chocolate cake, it was a cake for twelve persons and we were with half of it - actually seven. But it was my favourite, so I couldn't resist the temptation.

"We've eaten very well," my mother said.

"You can say that," Meghan said, "You're all such dirty pigs."

"That's our life goal," Jen answered. My dad gave a sign to the girls and then they said: "Let's go, L. We planned something special today."

"Can I know what?"

"Nope."

"Time to put on a blindfold."

"You know I hate surprises."

"Today's the day your opinion about surprises is going to change."

"That's better going to be true."

-------------------------
When we sat on the bus I asked if I could remove the blindfold. I was allowed to, so I did it. The sunlight that shined trough the window was fierce, it hurt my eyes and a drip tears fell out of my eyes.

"Are you emotional already?", Grace asked with a smirk.

"No, I'm crying because I'm thinking about what the surprise could be!" I answered.

"That's a good idea, because you have to be prepared," Jen chuckled.

"Don't make me nervous," I said.

"You're never nervous," Liz said.

"That's true. Haha," I answered.

We laughed and after that, we chat a little bit. One hour later it was time to make a switch from the bus to the tram. I couldn't see where the tram was going to, so I had to be patient.
