Chapter 6

SUMMER HOLIDAYS 2014: last week of June

After the exams, it was finally time for the summer holidays. I was looking forward to this. I actually think everyone does that.

Our last exam was RE, so it wasn't that difficult to study. After two hours of writing loads of explanations, the bell rang and we could go home.

At home I packed my things and went to Lisa's house. We always go sleeping by someone after the exams. When I arrived, Jen and Grace were already there. Why am I always the last one? I really had rushed.

But whatever. I went inside and greeted my friends. They said they already had figured out what we could to, writing fan mail. It wasn't as exciting for me as for them, but that didn't matter. I actually enjoyed it a bit, because I put some humour in the lettre. Sometimes I can be funny, mostly sarcastic.

One and a half hour later we were ready and went to the post office to send them. After that we went to the Pizza Hut. We had eaten to much - as we always do - so when we arrived back home, we immediately laid down on the couch to watch a movie.

After watching half the film we decided to go to the supermarket first to buy some more food. We had ourselves a bit carried away, because we bought a shopping cart full of candy and soda. When we arrived at the cash, we realized how much food we had grabbed from the racks. We said we could never eat it at one night, but after all we did it. We're dirty pigs.

When we arrived back at Lisa's home, we watched the other half of the movie and after that we played 'Who's most likely to...'. We had a lot of fun during that and we got to know each other even better - I thought that wasn't possible.

We played other games, but I'm not going to mention them because they're a bit weird and maybe they sound a bit boring - for us they were not at all.

We didn't got much sleep, but I didn't expect that because we always see the sun rising again before we go to sleep.

Three hours later I woke up, it was like 9 am I think. I'm always the first one. So I put on my clothes, grabbed my penny board and went to the bakery to surprise my treasures. I bought their favourite pastries. When I was back at Liz', they were still sleeping - the little sleepyheads. Half an hour later they woke up and when they saw that I already went to the bakery, they thanked me for being the best friend of the whole world.

Three days later the deliberation period was over and we had to go to school to receive our grades. In these three days, we just hung out together: we went shopping, we swam and laid by the pool. Actually the only thing we did was being lazy.

When I arrived at school, I was really nervous because I didn't had study very much. What if I had to repeat class?

My father and I walked to my classroom and when we arrived in the little hall, we saw that there already were four other pupils of my class. This meant we would have to wait at least three quarters of an hour. Luckily Iris, a good friend of me, was also waiting, so we could chat a bit.

After waiting more than an hour, it was our turn to go inside. My father and I went inside and greeted my teacher.

"Have a seat," he politely said while pointing to three chairs across his. "What do you expect?", he continued.

"I have no idea," I responded honestly.

"Did you study much?"

"Not really, but it was enough I think."

"You can be assured, your results are excelent as always. You can go carefree to your final year."

I never had been this relieved in my life. I wanted to do a happy dance or something like that, but then I relized that would be a bit marginal. So I just sighed.

"I can see you are relieved, but you should practice French a bit better."

"Yes, I know. I never have been good at it."

"Alright, I think the holidays are officially started for you," he announced. Then we said goodbye and went home.

I immediately took my penny board and went to Jen's house, this time I was first. Two minutes later Grace and Liz arrived. We all had good grades, so we all were relieved. This vacation was about to get memorable.

Yay, I finally wrote a 'longer' chapter, at least it's long for me. (actually it's like 100 words longer) Haha :) Why am I laughing with myself? Whatever, I just wanted to say that I didn't come up with an advice because it was difficult to find something that has something to do with this chapter. So I just wanted to tell you that you don't have to listen to what other people say, because everyone is beautiful in their own way. Don't let people bring down! Just enjoy every moment of your awesome life.
