Chapter 4

~Claire~

I was really embarrassed for kissing Niall. Sure, he did kiss me first, but still. Maybe he didnt like me like I like him. I decided I would try to avoid him, so things wouldn't be awkward. He called and texted me, which I quickly replied I was busy and couldn't talk. Today we had to go to class so I put on a light pink sweatshirt with black leggings and silver sparkly TOMS.

I walked outside and we decided we would go to a local coffee shop for a quick breakfast. I dont really drink coffee, so I got tea and a muffin. Brittany, Hallie, and I all sat down at a table and started eating our muffins.

"So you never told us what happened on your date." Brittany accused. I rolled my eyes at her eagerness.

"We kissed, and then I kissed him. I was too pushy and don't think he wants to see me again." I said straight forward.

"Rubbish! Of course he wants to see you!" Brittany said. Hallie nodded in agreement.

"And we know you want to see him! He's extremely fit!" Hallie said wiggling her eyebrows. It's true, he was obviously fit, and I did want to see him again. I just assumed he didnt.

The doors to the shop opened and none other than One Direction walked in. I made eye contact with Niall and he beamed at me, which I returned politely. I was happy to see him though.

"Hey!" he said pulling a chair up, soon followed by the boys.

"What's your name love?" Harry said flirtatiously to Brittany, throwing his arm around her shoulder. She rolled her eyes and stood up to throw away her trash.

"Ello love! I'm louis!" Louis said to Hallie. She smiled sweetly at him and then narrowed her eyes.

"Try something like that Harry bloke, and you wont have an arm." she threatened, standing up and following Brittany. Harry and Louis both exchanged fearful looks.

"Dont mind them." I said, apologizing for my friends behavior. I looked at Niall who was still smiling rather wide.

"Are you busy?" he asked hopefully. That's when I was snapped into reality.

"No, actually I have to get to class. But it was great seeing you." I said smiling. He nodded in understanding and then leaned in and kissed my cheek. I quickly got up and followed Hallie and Brittany out of the shop.

"Seems like he certainly fancies you." Hallie commented as we walked into class. It did appear that way, but I didn't know where that left us. He kissed me. So are we dating? This is all so confusing. Class started and today we had to pick either to sing a duet or a trio. Of course Hallie, Brittany, and I were doing a trio. Our teacher wants all of us to work on harmonies. No solos this week, which is what I usually do, so this will be hard.

We decided to sing Lego House by Ed Sheeran because we all love that song. We practiced the words and ran through it a few times. The bell rang signaling for us to leave.

"Tomorrow we can work on the harmonies." said Brittany. Hallie and I nodded and we all split up into our next classes. I had art so I made my way to the nearest room and pulled on my apron. My phone buzzed in my pocket and I pulled it out.

Brittany: Claire! The boys are outside! We can see them from astronomy! I think Niall wants to see you ;)

I rolled my eyes at her jumping to conclusions and pulled out my brushes. Suddenly the intercom came on and told me to report to the office. I could imagine Brittany smirking right now as I gathered my things and made my way out of the room.

I entered the office to see the 5 boys crying to the receptionist. She saw me and motioned me over.

"I heard about your cousin Stacy. You are excused from all classes this week. Take all the time you need." she said sweetly. I looked at the boys confused, as they continued to cry. They led me out the door and into the limo. When we got into the limo they all burst out laughing.
