Chapter 18

~Claire~

The doorbell went off and I ran to the door, slipping and falling on my butt since I was wearing fuzzy socks and running on wood. I stood up and opened the door.

A crying Sharon collapsed into my arms. I stroked her air and she slowly started to stop.

"What happened?" I said looking at her worriedly.

"D-d-daniel." she stuttered. I could automatically tell what was wrong. She liked Daniel, he liked me.

"Oh honey!" I said pulling her into another hug.

"Don't worry. Everything will be fine." I said giving her a warm smile and leading her to the couch.

Suddenly both of our phones buzzed.

Oh.

My.

God.

"Dis u get the same text?" she asked excitedly.

"Yea." was all I could say.

'Congratulations! You are one of 3 artist chosen to participate in a special art project for the school. This is a very honorable privilege and we hope you can join us tonight at 6:00 and participate.'

We both screamed at the same time.

"I can't believe this!"I said happily. She smiled proudly and nodded. I glanced at the clock.

I took her hand and we began walking to school.

"I'm so excited!" I said as we walked into the art room. Our principal stood there proudly.

"Good evening." she smiled.

"On afraid I must ask you to stay here all night. It's gonna be hard work and we need it done as soon as possible." she stated.

"It's fine." Sharon and I both said at the same time.

"Excellent. Oh nice for you to finally join us." she said to someone behind us, who I'm guessing is the other person for the project.

"Sorry." I heard an all too familiar voice. I turned around and saw no one other than Daniel.

Right now a ton of things were running through my head.

I have to stay here all night with Daniel!

Sharon and I were probably thinking the same thing.
