Chapter 25

~Claire~

I stated at Niall expectantly as he started to talk. He looked at me with his beautiful blue eyes and I smiled to myself.

"Claire... The boys and I are going on tour."

I felt a wide smile appear on my lips by force.

"That's great." I said trying to sound supportive.

"Well... That means I have to leave. Claire you don't know how hard this is for me. I love you more than you can possibly imagine, but... We need to break up." he said staring into my eyes.

I felt water build up in my eyes.

"W-w-what?" I said, the hurt clear in my voice.

"I am so sorry." he said shakily. I could see the pain in his eyes but I couldn't imagine his pain worse than mine.

I felt a sudden jab in my chest. I let out a sob as I stood up. I began walking towards the door, closely followed by Niall.

"Claire! Don't go!" he called after me.

I turned sharply and pushed him back.

"Why?" I cried out.

"Why did you do this is to me?" I said weakly.

I turned around and started walking towards the street.

"don't go." he whispered only loud enough for me to hear. I ignored the jabbing pain in m heart.

"Just leave me alone!" I shouted without looking back. I assumed he walked away as I got to the middle of the street.

I felt my knees give out and I collapsed onto the road.

I stood up and began walking as the rain soaked me. I finally reached the school and walked inside. I went into the music room and sat down beside the piano. I closed my eyes and try to think of a song to let my feelings out.

I hit my head on the piano and the keys let out a loud screech.

"No one can possibly understand what I'm going through." I cried out.

"are you ok?" a voice said. I looked up startled and looked into the familiar eyes I've seen before.

"Not really William." I said as he sat down beside me. He ran his fingers over the keys and sighed.

"I've always wanted to be able to play piano." he said staring down at his fingers.

"here." I said placing his fingers on an assortment of keys. I placed my hands over his and began playing a piece I learned in class.

"wow." he said looking at me.

"You're really good." he smiled.

"Thanks." I said blushing slightly.

We sat there for a while in the quiet. It wasn't an awkward silence. It was comfortable.

"So what happened." he asked me finally.

"Niall and I broke up." I choked out. He sighed and pulled me into a tight hug.

"it's ok." he said trying to comfort me. I pulled back and realized we were really close.

"ummm." I said as my face turned bright red.

He placed his hand on the back of my neck and leaned in. His lips touched mine and I felt my eyes close. Suddenly I realized what was happening and I pushed him back.

"I'm sorry." I said walking out of the room.

I ran into the hallway and out the school. I sprinted down the street and to our apartment. Brittany was the only one home at the moment. She saw I was crying and ran over to me.

"Is everything ok?!" she asked as we both sat down.

"no. Not at all." I said sobbing and telling her the whole story.

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted since the dinosaurs but my watt pad has been fricken malfunctioning! So it's finally back to normal so yay! I will post more chapters soon!
